In 1997, the book "Rich Dad Poor Dad" was self-published because every publisher Robert and Kim offered it to turned it down. Most publishers sent rejection letters stating, “We are not interested in your book at this time.” A few more honest publishers thought Robert’s ideas were ridiculous. As a result, Robert and Kim turned to self-publishing.
Three years later, "Rich Dad Poor Dad" made the New York Times Best Sellers list, the only self-published book on the list at the time. Then Oprah Winfrey called, and the rest is history.

The best part is at the end. I wrote a book in the heat of the pandemic, outlining how to turn this slow time because of the pandemic and recession into an opportunity to realize ambitions. Writing was the easy part, PR is the hard part..... I did write what I know, I wrote from the heart, and I basically wrote the shit out of it.... But yes, PR...... Thanks for your continuing value!!

The biggest problem with Farmers as getting paid for their product. This is why I developed my own company. I am a farmer and merchant and the seeds are the new businesses.

Great interview. After having published 170 books myself I can say that it is fantastic to hear new ideas. There are a lot of Authors out there that are being read not because of the great content of the book but because the author is already well known by other " accomplishments" - i think you can say. I think that if you're not known and you want to start writing you have to have some very interesting content to share if you want people to read your books.

It should be noted that Chandler’s advice is most likely for non-fiction. You cannot outline most fiction books in a day. Consider world building alone.
