I started my youtube channel at 8 months pregnant! It's my no-stakes activity and a way to get my creative juices flowing. Life is nuts right now, I'm not working, but I sure am exploring things like knitting, crocheting, and editing videos. This is my first baby, so I'm also just sitting back and trusting the unfolding of the transition from maiden to mother. It's a whirlwind!

I've been on this thread lately too! One thing I am enjoying doing is making a "life looks like" pinterest board -- where I made sort of like a real-time picture of how my life is *already* looking like the vision I have for the future, if only in small ways and tiny details. It gives me such a sense of peace and encouragement and accomplishment and also helps me keep going.

I find that believing in yourself has to do a lot about self - worth, and what we deserve. At times we don’t give ourselves enough credit because of being simple and aiming low. We all deserve so much more than we think we do. I am a big dreamer, and I have a lot of determination when it comes to my goals. Believing in yourself allows you to be determined. I believe that when you address your self - worth, gives you the idea of your self- belief.

Self-confidence is my biggest struggle. I don’t think I’ve really had any expectations for myself in a good several years

Oh my gosh love the advice about low stake hobby to see your own competence sometimes, I’m in my final year of studying music and I love what I do but the stakes can sometimes feel so high intensity and self pressured at times. In the last year I re discovered my love of photography, and it’s still creative but there’s no assessment or need to excel, but I can just keep learning at my own pace. Loved this video!

Very important topic! I'm trying to learn a new skill and slowly start a new career this year and I noticed how often I lack belief in myself.❤

You look very pretty! I’m not a kid person at all, but glad good people are having kids to hopefully bring more empathy and compassion to this planet and poor animals as they need it more than ever. ✨

I love this! I hadn't realized this until you said it, but I gave myself a low stakes goal for this year, and it was simply to reduce my number of beauty products. I have a bunch of doubles, things like 3 different hand creams, a bunch of face masks etc, things I don't use daily, or even weekly, that I've just collected over time, and I decided I wanted to use them up and get it down to just 1 of each (maybe not the face masks because I've got different types, but you get the idea) and every time I use one up, I feel accomplished. There's zero stakes in this, as long as I don't add to it, then I'm good, and it feels achievable too. Bonus, I'm taking more care of my outer body and practicing self care

Yess, love that you talked about setting small, daily goals to build self-trust - this is one of the first skills mentioned in How To Do the Work by Dr Nicole LePara, the Holistic Psychologist. That book changed my life and jump started my healing journey, highly recommend! Thanks for such a lovely talk as always Kalyn 😊

I think I need to switch my mindset about failure, and not to think of it as the worst thing but as a stepping stone, or chance to pivot or grow in some way. My beliefs above failure definitely hold me back.....but they really shouldn't. Failing is not the end of the world, maybe it's just the first few chapters of a book
