I watched every video on how to pull a crossover bend last night and this was bar far the easiest to follow. I pulled by first crossover this morning a piece of scrap 15mm pipe, 10 minutes later I pulled my second on a 3 metre length of 15mm (had to do it in the front garden in order to get the angle....perfect. Then did 2 partial crossovers in 22 mm, spot on. No vice to hand ( though it would have been helpful to have one) so it was all done with just my cheapo 35 quid bender. Thanks James you are a rockstar.

great to see copper bending, in the age of speedfit it's great to get onto an unvented cylinder installation, more bends with less fittings always gives me a massive sense of satisfaction on the job. Nice one!

Great videos BTW! How would you chase this into a wall? Is it better to bend a horizontal cold feed over a vertical hot feed, vice versa or does it not matter? . Also can these Bends get away with not being insulated if the majority of the straight sections are?

When you turned it over and transferred the mark from the center of the pipe, it should have been the back of the pipe imo, if you’re then referencing the last bend from edge of the former which is where the back of the bend will be.

***** I will in the summer when the weather is less likely to freeze. Thanks I was kinda hoping to get away till then I am an ex plumber who now earns a crust in the design office so my hand is out of practice as they say. Enjoyed your channel.. I like the pin hole trick I have used a self tapping screw wrapped in ptfe tape round the shaft just below the head.... before now ha ha the things we do to plumb! Another trick Soder a penny on a half inch pipe for a stop end, then you can knock it off later and solder a fitting straight on before that I used to bash the pipe between two hammers if I was short of fittings on a late winters night in a first fix job, and solder the gap but the penny was cheaper than a stop end just dont solder the queens bonce, it may be a bit illegal!
