Thanks for this. It looks like you peeled off the padding from the bottom of your planks. With my Lifeproof, I'm finding this to be a nightmare, like pulling teeth. Do you have any tips or tricks?

I have similiar problem i seen guys make relief cuts using table saw or router at the treads edge removing the material for better crisp bends without distortion

@@WalmartIdol I found the best way to get the padding off is an electric planer.

I picked up a router and used that. I left 1" on the edge, then took off 3" for the bend.

@@williamattwood5368 thanks. Still a lot of effort. I ended up leaving the padding on and gluing it down. I used a few brads in hidden locations too. Hopefully it will all hold over time.
