For the evergreen trees what rules of thumb do you use to figure out how many feet of lights you need? For example, do you have a conversion factor to determine you need x feet of C9 for a 30 foot tree? Would it differ for mini lights versus C9 for larger trees? Thanks

Even in Maryland, a very expensive state to live in with high housing and cost of living, people would laugh in your face. 180 a section of Garland? I mean I’m happy for the man that’s awesome he’s out here getting those prices but it’s out of the question where I’m at.

I got quoted $5 LF for the first year and $3 LF after that. I’m going to take that money, buy some Cougar Paws and a fall restraint system and do it myself. I have commercial grade stuff from Christmasdesigners so I’m using similar materials to the pros.

Why do I get the feeling he wants his competitors to bid this way then come in at more reasonable rate. I mean 200 ft c9 with bulbs is what 250-300 bucks. 1600-300 = 1300.00. Everyone would be installing at that rate.

Good luck getting business in our area at those insane prices. My pro installer charged me $430 for 250 ft of lighting on house with dormers, vertical corners and garage doors outlined. I own the lights-just the install and takedown. I store them in off season.

Where do you live, Somalia or similar? Or did you hire the 15 year old "pro" next door? Less than $2 per LF for install and removal. I wanna hire him to work for me, pay him $2.50 per LF so he makes more and I don't have to install lol

@@Crumpman Nope. Kansas City area. Northland Holiday Lights. Owner is my neighbor. He charged $640 this season because we added the triple garage doors and vertical dormer outlines and house front vertical corners. He and 3 or 4 crewmen knocked it out in 2 hours or so. I bought all the additional bulbs and socket line. Next year the charge to put up snd take down will be $430 I own and store all the lights. Normally he leases all the lights and stores them. We are using the 12in vs 9 in spacing. C9 led bulbs. More power to you if you can get that much from residential customers-free enterprise at its finest. I wouldn’t pay that much.
