I remember when I was a kid, around 20 years ago, I have only come across responsive Yoyos and they would only spin around 20 seconds and no more. Getting back to Yoyo due to the pandemic(bored at home), and MAN so much has changed! They have gotten so much better for a way lower price!

Dude. Peoples.. This is so much more info than what I've had saved from your Jul 7, 2010 video- Binding: Learn how to Bind an Unresponsive Yoyo.. I never learned when I was a kid and have a daughter that I got a Merlin for and I got myself a responsive and unresponsive too. Literally earlier today she was messing about w/hers and got the line jammed up in the gap somehow that would've needed her to figure out how to pick the loop over the line w/a toothpick but I was able to show her how to just unscrew the halves while being careful of not pulling the loop off of the bearing and then putting it back together. Instead of any of that, she wound up taking both of my aluminum yo-yos and 'giving' me her Merlin lmao instead of trying to fix it herself. I wound up explaining to her w/that video from 2010 how she's not quite ready to play an unresponsive yet and now all of a sudden I find this very well done upgrade of that already great information from back then. Keep it up peoples. You've evolved, and it shows. Thank you.

Okay, I got my Node this morning (luv you guys btw) and I'm noticing something everyone mentions in every review of the Node that I didn't account for; the pads are really slippy and binds are somewhat inconsistent. What pads would you recommend from your shop for me to upgrade with? Right now it has the yellow ones I think.

I would recommend the Shadow pads. Those are what we put in all our yoyos and we really love them. We also have extra grippy shadow pads. I typically recommend those for hightly rim-weighted yoyos, like Bi-metals, but if you are really looking for some serious grip they are also a good way to go. If you have the right yoyo and it is spinning quickly, assuming you are doing the bind correctly it should come back almost automatically.

If you have not already done so, I would recommend you consider a different yoyo. Many people do not seem happy with the K1. Even if you stick with Magic, most yoyos would be better.

Hello, I have been trying to bind my yoyo for an hour now, I have some problems that I have encountered, and I am wondering if you can help me 1. My yoyo keep going to the sides while I'm trying to pull it up 2. Every time I let go of the yoyo and pull it back up (the bind), it keeps going down and won't come up at all 3. When I have finally done the steps without 2 of that problems. The bind stops midway through causing the yoyo to spin and me to restart again. The string keeps twisting every bind I do It's been an hour, and I can't seem to do it. I really need your help and advice.

For those who don't understand what a unresponsive yoyo is and bind. Unresponsive is those type of yoyo that can't be tug back automatic to your hands (As Manual) Like a car that has automatic or go manual control. Responsive yoyo with responsive bearing and how thin the gap is can maintain its tug motion as in Automatic car driving, basically easy. Unresposive for those Manual control hard Resonsive for easy to bring it back to your hand as in automatic.

This will allow it to be easy to use when you are starting, but as soon as you feel confident you can upgrade it for more advanced tricks. I have not found a way that works. Some yoyos by OneDrop and Monkey Finger are designed to have the response pads thick enough that it works to make your own, but most yoyos the response pads are to thin. There may be a way around this, but I am not aware of it.

From what I know, there are different silicon brands that make these bottles of silicon with really thin tips, however, as I have only used it for a Metal Skyva and had decent results, I wouldn't necessarily say it is a fool proof way to make response pads, and they're nearly never as good as the Yoyofactory pads that most yoyos come with.
