One of the changes I did to my Fat Bob. The best thing about the change besides how much better it looks is how much glare is cut down in bright sunlight and you're not blinded while looking at your gauges.

I had this part on my wish list since i bought my bike. I guess im taking it off the list now. I could’ve gotten over applying my own adhesives but not being able to powdercoat them to match the wheels is a deal breaker. Harley-Davidson be slackin’!! Anyways when you change out those two bolts, please take a video. Your bike is looking good though. Keep up with the content.
@michaelconran52524 жыл бұрын
looked on microfiche. The bezels are part of the tach & speedo. I'm planning on a Low Rider S this fall. I was planning on powder coating the bezels, looks like that might not be an option. $150 for 2 plastic rings??? I am sure someone else will have something out when I buy mine.

@MarvelKid87 does Harley make these in chrome? Maybe the chrome ones would be cheaper and you could just paint or plasti-dip those as opposed to buying straight black at their price?

Buying Harley stuff means paying the Harley tax. It's a known fact of life. Nonetheless, it makes sense for the FXLR S to have come stock with the black gauge bezels. Of course, it's typical of how HD rips off its customers. And what a shame that HD to have made such great progress with the M8 Softails, brilliant frame and a very good mono shock only to stuff it up with a rear brake that truly lacks feel and power. I'm not a fan of the all blacked out look, but those black gauge bezels is a massive cosmetic improvement on your bike.

They rip riders off all the time. To pay that amount of money and then find out you cannot even fit it without spending more time and more money, it does look the business though, I wish the after market companies would pull their fingers out and start making things like bezal covers for these new softails. How hard would it have been for harley to have a grub screw fixed into it, it really does piss me off how they charge so much money for something so simple, they know we will pay it though 🤬🤬, but it definitely improves the look of the bike.

Qualitatively, this is rather poor and cheap from Harley. They can’t possibly expect customers to just tape a product on. This tape is flimsy and doesn’t last forever. Surely a simple screw solution could have done the trick.
