How To Bleed A Motorcycle/Dirt Bike Clutch | Beta 390+ RRS clutch hydraulic fluid change & bleed

Hydraulic clutch and break fluid should be changed every couple of years to keep systems working at peak performance. Old clutch fluid will break down and lose functionality over time leading to incomplete clutch disengagement, dragging in gear, hard starting, rough engagement and clutch lever fade.
This does NOT apply to cable clutches which do NOT have any fluid.
It's relatively easy to change the clutch fluid, the process is exactly the same as changing or bleeding brake fluid (both in bikes and autos).
1. Pump old fluid through the system
2. Refilling new fluid to ensure the reservoir never runs dry (if it does, you'll get air in the line and will have to start all over)
In this video we use a Beta 390 RRS, but the process works exactly the same for any motorcycle hydraulic systems (both brake and clutch systems). All newer Beta 4 Stroke bikes (350 and up) will be identical to the bike we use in this video.

On my my race cars, I use a vaccula and suck all of the old fluid out of the reservoir and then fill it before pumping. I find this speeds up the bleeding process and uses less fluid. Haven't done the Beta yet. Did this resolve your dragging issue? My 390 is dragging a bit and can't find neutral with the engine running. Thanks for all of the awesome videos!

I have tried something like that on street bikes before, it's a good idea. Yes, the fluid was a mess and definitely causing the problems with dragging. Fresh fluid fixed the issue!
