On the Yamaha WR, I found that by removing the master cylinder, elevating it, and pumping the lever, I can get all of the air out by just doing this. I suspect that because the WR has a longer break line with a high point in it for headlight clearance, this spot allows air bubbles to build up that are hard to get remove. Elevating the master cylinder gets rid of this air trap and allows for easy bleeding. Your tips on fluid removal are spot on and helpful.

Hey! Elevating it so that the brake line becomes straight?
@peter121824 жыл бұрын
Dumb question. By doing what I just watched does that also work for the rear break ?
@StepstoPodium4 жыл бұрын
there are never dumb questions if that helps you understand any topic! if you do this on the front brake, it only affect the front brake, if you do this on the rear brake, it only affects the rear brake 😊

When pulling brake fluid with a syringe some of the air you see is coming past the bleed nipple thread, so it's deceiving..... you think your getting lots of air but some of it's from outside of the brake system. You might never stop seeing air even though the system is bled.

it would work! I don't see why it shouldn't

By doing it this way you are actually pumping some of the old fluid back into the system!

Hi there mate got a kx85 rear brake is really soft Iv bleed the rear brake but it still won’t work as it when pressing the rear brake it won’t stop the wheel at all. Any suggestions?
@StepstoPodium4 жыл бұрын
you have to build pressure inside the system, only to bleed the system in not enough! if after that it still doesn't has pressure, you might have a faulty brake piston which is letting oil through the seals, keeping from building pressure
@rahathfarid67964 жыл бұрын
Steps to Podium how would I build pressure inside the system. Do I just carry on bleeding the rear brake?

@@DatWhiteSpanishBoyFromNyc.-_-. You have to do several times the last step of the process in order to regain pressure! Just doing it once won't be enough.
