Having had my L322 bled 4x already by reputable services / main dealers of non LR and still spongey pedal - I can honestly say that all have advised strongly that a) only a pressure system is used to bleed Rangey brakes and b) TBH - they all say - use LR Dealer as they have the factory tools to do the job properly.

Hi, welcome to our channel! 😊 It's best to follow the workshop manual to do the brake bleeding, which is what we did here in this video 👍🏻 If you're having spongey pedals it could be due to them using the incorrect brake fluid, as we didn't have these issues.

Good video only thing I would add is that the furthest caliper from the resivoir is on the off side rear so your number 2 caliper in the vid should actually be number 1 (the rear lines both run down ns sill then crossover - makes no real difference as once you have all air out theb the job is a good one

How much play do you have in your pedal? My brakes work well but I feel I have to press the pedal down quite far.

Hi, thanks for watching the video and for being here! 👋🏻😊 I have zero play in the pedal, so if you are experiencing this, you're going to have to troubleshoot it and look at the problem. If you have been keeping up with our content, I have replaced the brake pads, brake discs and flushed the brake fluid using the method in this video, and another method with a brake bleeding pressure pump. @@lifeasusual it’s more when driving in the city at slow speeds I feel like the pedal goes down further than in other cars. When you need to stop in a hurry there is no play. Rotors and pads were done 7000kms ago and are like new still.

You don't really need to keep opening and closing the bleeder. That technique is used when you are using open air bleeding, not using the jar/bottle method. The fluid in the jar will keep air from entering the system on depress.

Hi Jon, welcome to our channel! 👋🏻 I see what you're saying, but it's still a good practice to keep on opening and closing, and for the people who are watching this video and have never done this job before, it would be a good practice to do it. Also, I didn't want dirty fluid to come back in, as I was flushing the brake fluid. And I read somewhere that it's good to build up the pressure in the cylinder.

Mate, what's the number for front brembo brakes. It has 2 bleed screws per caliper.

Hi, yes, that's correct. Two bleed screws on each caliper. When you say the number, do you mean the part number? I made a video on finding the correct part number for your specific chassis. I may be wrong, but I do believe that you still have to do 10 times each bleed screw on them as well; the inner bleed point must be bled before the outer bleed point; for high-performance brakes, tighten the front calliper bleed screws to 19 Nm (14 lb.ft) and tighten the rear calliper bleed screws to 10 Nm (7 lb.ft).
