What year is your L405? I've been watching the vids but I've either missed it or you haven't mentioned it. Great project by the way, I can't wait to see your progress 👍👍👍👍

The Gap IID Tool is fixed to one vehicle vin, you can pay extra to get more Vin numbers added but this tool is already expensive.

Wow! Your LR dealer said only to use LR CCPS fluid! Who'd have thought? Whilst you shouldn't use ATF, there are several proprietory CCPS fluids that are much cheaper than LR. Smith Allan for example. Did your LR dealer also say to only use ZF auto-transmission fluid? Bearing in mind that ZF don't actually make oils. It's the oil spec that matters, not the brand.

Did this job when the engine was out for thw turbos repair. Very big job and messy job. I'm selling it i'm done!
@giuistefanjr728 күн бұрын
Congrats man, my specialist took the engine out for the 8th injector. That was a big job for the turbos which you cannot work on with the engine in. Very big job in replacing everything , for the radiator you have to take all the front of the car out and intercooler ac radiator and water radiatoe are sandwiched together.

Can you stop the seat belt chiming? Help
@lifeasusual10 күн бұрын
In the L322, you can press the seat belt red button 10 - 15 times quickly and that will do the trick. Try it on yours and let me know if it works because I've never tried it in the latest Range Rover 👍🏻

Does the turbo oil replenish itself automatically from the engine oil? noticed you drained the turbo oil but put none back in..
@lifeasusual10 күн бұрын
Hi Peter, the turbo oil feed comes from the engine. What I drained is the turbo oil return pipe. The reason why this is important to be drained is because, if the return pipe gets blocked with debris, the contaminated oil will stay in the turbo and it will cause a turbo failure. The turbo oil is not oiled separately. I hope this helps! 😊👍🏻

If those injectors have had petrol through them for any length of time, they'll be dead I would have thought. My last resort would be engine out. Maybe take the sump off, and look at one of the bearings?
@lifeasusual10 күн бұрын
Hi Kevin, that's a good idea.👍🏻 I think what I'm going to end up doing is remove the engine and have a proper look at it from inside and either replace the injectors or get them cleaned. But definitely, I need to do something about them, I can only tell once they're out and inspected.
@1chish19 күн бұрын
Good to see people so loving an RR. They are worth it. Just a gentle suggestion but check the two big slots on each side of the bonnet because they are air intakes and there is soundproofing that comes adrift and restricts the air intake and you get an odd fault code. I do not claim this as my knowledge as I saw it on another channel called 'LR Time'.
@lifeasusual10 күн бұрын
Hi Chris, yes, I agree, they're such great cars and when you look after them, they look after you! 😊Thank you for the suggestion, I'm not too sure which one you're referring to, but I will take a look and see if we get a fault in our car. 👍🏻😊

dont waste your time , they are junk and it will fail again and cost you more money , the price of one of these with a rebuilt engine is still less than the cost of rebuilding the engine.
@lifeasusual19 күн бұрын
Hi Tom, thanks for the feddback! 👍🏻In this case, which car do you think I should be working on instead? 😊
@tomthompson740019 күн бұрын
@@lifeasusual something that will be at least worth the money you put into it by the time your finished ,, this wont be ,,, [ I fix these for a living } take a look at the main dealers staff car park , the folk that fix these wont drive them , and any mechanic these days can easily afford one.

It not going to be a proper clean, gets out s foam cannon and a detail brush. Thats more then 99% of people do when washing a car. Love to work on a clean car.
@lifeasusual20 күн бұрын
Thank you! 😊 Honestly, that's nothing compared to the proper detailing I do to my cars in general. A proper wash and dry inside-out takes me 5 hours, if I want to wash & detail it will be taking me 2 days. 😁 But these numbers are on a normal car. This car will probably take me 1 week to get it sorted, to the standard where I'd like it to be, knowing that I bought it from an auction place and it came with a lot of dirt and mess. 👍🏻
