Thank you so much for this tutorial. This is the first time I have learned and come to appreciate the importance of right blending of acrylic paints, selection of brudh type, and wiping the brush before blending. No wonder my waves in the ocean and clouds in the sky look nothing better than blobs of paint that are highlighted by brush streaks. 🥵

Love watching your tutorials. I know you are big Bob Ross fan. Me too! I learned so much from him and didn't even know it. Watched him for 20 years and only started painting about 5 months ago, and found all that stuff I learned from him coming out of the end of my brush! I've been using craft paint to do paintings and have had really good results, but as I buy new paint, I think I'll upgrade to your paints. I trust you to know they are good products and you aren't charging an arm and a leg. And thanks for this tutorial! It was great!!!

When you say "Wipe the brush, wipe the paint out of the brush" @ 10:20 are you referring to dipping the brush in water to clean it? Or just wipe off all the excess paint and use the kind of dry stuff underneath?
@KevinOilPainting4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your support! What I meant was wipe the brush on a paper towel to get the excess paint off the bristles.

I agree, that's by number 1 question when I'm acrylic painting. I don't want to change my style at all when using either paint. A lot of the issue can be the paint it's self. I like a heavy body and vivid acrylic paint because it helps to produces "oil like" results. paintwithkevin.com/acrylic-paint-for-sale.html
