Thank you for this! I came to the same conclusion after months of going back and forth, but it's very reassuring when a seasoned astrologer confirms it. I just couldn't figure out how reputable astrologers were getting amazing results, but on different systems. It didn't make sense to only swear by one. I think you can get the most out of astrology by utilizing many techniques and systems. I'm a heavily ruled Jupiter person though, so naturally I would think more, more, more! This is the best explanation I've seen! Most of the astrology videos I've watched explaining which system to use, tends to choose one or the other. But I'm not about looking at things for their simplicity, so I like the concept of combining the two to get a deeper understanding of what makes me 'ME'. Thanks Victor 😊 p.s. You’re absolutely right Viktor. It is little different to the way we blend our rising, moon and sun readings on a periodic basis. My Pluto is currently transiting my third house for instance. In Placidus, my third is substantial and so will stay there for another 35 + years. Yet by Whole sign, Pluto will enter my 4th house once it ingresses into Aquarius within a couple of years. Bearing in my I am a Scorpio ascendant, I theorise that both the third and fourth houses will share significance in my life for at least the next decade.

I am very new to astrology. Some energies gave me a huge activation in end May, and that led me to researching my own chart, and a Placidus reading end May and a Whole sign reading in beg June. After the 2 readings, I was looking at, just intuitively, how to combine the two and how to gain more insights into my own chart when combining both. Logically and intuitively it made sense to me. I am so happy that I came across this video.

I've heard that in the whole house system MC floats between 9th and 11th houses, not 7th and 10th. I use whole signs system and have never seen MC being outside of 9th and 11th. Also, David Cochrane explained that the whole system is bases on the idea that the houses emulate signs in the chart and therefore it's not necessary for connect them to time points except for the ascendant. So, from the ascendant you just divide the circle in 12 sections and that's it. Simple. In the Vedic system houses are also counted from any point such as the 4th house from the 4th would be the house of your mothers mother or your grandmother among other things. 2d from the 7th would be the money of your partner and so forth. It's quite a simple and elegant system.

I have to pay closer attention to degrees in Placidus because almost all my houses are split between two signs, two houses even have three signs! For my Placidus chart to be correct I have to be a Sagittarius Rising, though I'm a Scorpio Rising 17°. Placidus throws all my natal planets back one house as you explained. So I have to listen to two Rising Signs, a Moon Sign, and a Sun Sign! Personally, I feel like the Whole Sign effects are more accurate but I had my chart done by a Placidus Reader and a Whole Sign Reader and so far the Placidus reading is proving correct, whereas the Whole Sign reading was general and none of the predictions are happening. I jump back and forth as a beginner and each one is a hit or a miss.

Thank you for the explanation. This hits on my sore spot of having the nn/sn in 11/5 houses in whole sign and 12/6 in placidus. I've always struggled with the 11th house and still don't really get it hahah. But utilizing my talents and resources from the 5th (daily 6th +letting myself dive into the 12th) serves the 11th too.. it's an inclusive interpretation and this helps a lot

Vert useful. Could you follow up with a video on which house system is best for what? For example I know that for transits it's the whole sign system but it's also interesting when the planet conjuncts the cusp of a house? What about synastry, I have always wondered 🤔

I believe you go by what system was used when the technique was created - so for composite charts it's Placidus, for Synastry it's whole sign..

This is interesting ... from starting with placidus & then looking at whole sign ... it gave stelliums (working on 4 plus planets) where there wasn't previously & these stelliums seems like good matches for what I see! ... think any change/ second chart reading that breaks up a stellium is helpful (i'm thinking of the negatives that come with having a stellium opposed to positives!... a new placement for a few planets can help unlock their expression maybe? ... building on the 'resources them came in with' by giving them further direction to grow? ... just thinking out loud ... blending whole sign and placidus seems a good idea! Thank you Viktor for sharing your thoughts on this!

Hi Viktor, thanks! I’ve been thinking about this for a while. I like to use both too. Knowing placidus will help us know the cusp degrees. I also have stellium in the 10th (whole sign) & with placidus it becomes on the 9th including MC.

@@60sbabydoll777, with rectification, you can find the exact birth time. You already know you were born around 12 pm, so the ascendant is easier to find. The shape of your face, temperament, and how your body is built. In this case, yes, I would rather have the whole sign, and if you absolutely wouldn't know the time of birth, I would go with equal houses.

I like it that you combine houses, I do too. Do you combine house rulerships? In placidus pisces rules my third house, but in whole sign aries rules my third house. I would combine those two energies. I am studying astrology. I just subscribed to you, I love that you do this, thank you.

Hi. So, you are Capricorn Rising. The ruler of Capricorn is Saturn and the Governor of you natal chart. Look for Saturn placement in your chart, see the house, the aspects with other planets. 🤗🙏🌈
