Until recently, i didn’t mind the ads. Mostly, it was only 1 or 2 ads with the option to skip the ad. Now they're taking the piss with up to 6 ads per block without the option to skip until the final ad.

Works for me, thanks! I used your first suggestion...open a video, when ad starts playing, copy and paste the video's full url in top address bar into a second tab, voila, no ads, and no ads for any other video either (in the second tab).

What I do: I use firefox browser on PC. I installed "Custom Video Speed for KZbin" Extension for Firefox. I set the 3 hotkeys for slow default and fast to the Z X C keys. I cut out 3 fuzzy dots from a roll of velcro and pasted them on Z X C. I click on a video with my fingers on the Z X C keys. An add starts. I push down on index finger on C key and ad plays at 8 times fast speed. The add ends. I push the middle key X with middle finger and the video plays default speed. When another add appears in the middle of the video, I repeat the above. And enjoy the fast machine gun moving lips of the advertiser selling his deodorant for 4 seconds instead of 30 seconds.

The irony is that this not only ruins the user experience, but also the image and reputation of the companies that paid for these ads (personally, I just feel frustrated because of their ads that, even worse, are the same ones that are displayed repeatedly). It also harms the channels and therefore the view rate... in the end, it's a boomerang that comes back directly in KZbin's face.

This is the only free method that actually works. Normally I don't mind adds, I watch Netflix with adds but KZbin is ridicules. You can't watch more than a few minutes of any video without getting hit with several adds.

THANK YOU for this video. I've been bombarded by an AVALANCHE of political ads lately, most of which can NOT be skipped and are super repetitive and 95% of the ads I was getting were all political (all of them from all sides being highly negative and blaming the other candidate for something. Can't tell you what any of them plan on doing in office if they get elected because it's just endless accusations against someone else). I don't mind NORMAL ads. I like gaming ads, I like food ads, I like movie ads, etc, but NOT non-stop political ads, all of which are horrible and most of which can't even be skipped. And I REFUSE to get YT Premium for several reasons, NOT happening.

This is new to me, but I'm using chrome and install add-on call "ad-guard" and you will never see ads again. For my phone, I'm using samsung phone but I don't using youtube app instead I'm using samsung internet app because it's allow me to install ad-guard and many ads blocker feature and it also had a background play feature so baam! I got all the youtube premium feature!

At the time of writing this comment, using a blocker of ads is not illegal. In fact, the FBI has recommended using one. There is also the part where just using one saves you the pain of using Bing. Allegedly, content creators on the tube of yous don't get the revenue from people watching with them. Use that information as you see fit.

I didnt actually have the adblocker on but I still got these messages over and over that I was using an ad blocker.. so I got tierd being spammed and *BEEEEEP* on the adblocker and now everything is fine. This is ridiculous. Also im not against advertisement, I get ads but im not going to be flooded with video ads only so Google can donate money to Kamala Harris.
