Glassblowing has literally changed my life. Have been blowing glass for a out 4 years and just now starting as a hobby to make beautiful stuff for my fiance. Im considering taking the mentorship and workshops. Thanks for everything.

Letting the glass gather from melting is such an important step for clarity of the glass itself. Not allowing it to fold, keeps the bubbles and other unseen gremlins out. Thanks for pointing that aspect out Dustin.

I’m one week into flame working. Every night I get back from the studio, I sit down and watch a new revere how to video, take notes, and try it the next day. Ive been doing everything I can to immerse myself into this new (to me) world of glassblowing. I purchased my first torch today. I’m saving up to pay for some of the instructional courses you offer. 🤙🏻 all love and positive vibes from FL 😎

Having those videos for 30 days is such a benefit for me. I'm super add and keeping focused for the whole 8 hours doesn't happen. I get an hour in and I'm off working on something else. So it's nice to be able to watch it over and over and pause where I need to to make the peice. Its been so helpful. Sign up, you won't regret it.

I've bin working with glass off and on for about 6 years now. Videos like this are so helpful when you need a refresher or just starting out. Mushroom pendants are some of my favorite things to make thanks for the refresher Revere Glass.

I'm new to glass blowing and have been trying to make these but they have been coming out funky. A good tip i like was letting the gather cool and then heating the top half. I am also interested in the school.

You rock. Thank you I find all of your videos, especially the ones from when you started, fantastic. I am a beginner, I can do almost anything. I have cooked with and for people on TV, I have built houses. But Glass blowing, more of an understanding of yourself and the universe. Thanks for your guidance. I will be looking into the online school,

Ah man I'm gonna miss him by a week, would be cool if it aligned with my stay lol! Push mushroom is the very first thing i made, still have mine in a drawer. The hardest thing for me was trying to figure out how to put a hole in glass took me about 10 min before i finally got it figured out with the tungsten pick. Was sloppy but my first pendant, first glass anything really, instructor was impressed with me as a beginner thought i had taken a class before lol

There are programs that you can take to learn to be a scientific glass blower. Then you can pay the bills and work on your art on the side. Or get hired by a studio to do production. The repetition and practice will hone your skills. Practice, practice, practice! Don’t do it to prove them wrong. Do it for yourself! Follow your dreams!

@joannecarson55683 жыл бұрын
Absolutely try different colours! Try melting some frit on the end of the stringer to give you really interesting patterns when you push the mushroom cap.

How serious is a kiln for small pieces I've never made anything more than a few dabbers from some old recycled glass I found used only a propane camping torch nothing thicker than 5mm how brittle would these peices be a few have survived over 4 years now
@joannecarson55683 жыл бұрын
Ideally all your glass pieces should be annealed in a kiln after you make them. Once you work (heat) glass, there will be some stress in it. Now this is not to say that your pieces will break, but annealing them will give them the best chance of lasting the longest. If you can get a couple of polarized lenses, you can check for stress in the glass with them. I’m sure there would be a video on it…

I finally went through my first bottle of oxygen and I was wondering if oxygen concentrators is the way to go...
@joannecarson55683 жыл бұрын
If you have a smaller torch, an oxygen concentrator rocks! As long as your power is on, you have unlimited O2. Mid-sized and larger torches: you will have to do some research to see if the concentrator produces enough volume and enough pressure. I run my Lynx on a concentrator, but I can’t run my CC burner - it needs tanked O2.
@dasoup883 жыл бұрын
@@joannecarson5568 hey thanks! Can the concentrator fill an o2 tank to use later? Like what's the max psi it will store? Or is that even possible?
@joannecarson55683 жыл бұрын
@@dasoup88 I believe there are a couple of systems now available that will fill oxygen tanks. I don’t know too much about them, just that they are fairly expensive to set up. I have seen advertisements in magazines for them.
