It's a learning process for me as well. When it comes to newer BMWs it can sometimes be cheaper to take them in.

You need bmw service reset tool to reset oil service you can find it on ebay,i use draper 51540 for 15 pins and 20 pins

My 85 BMW Check Control engine oil light is on, any ideal how to correct it?

Clarion 1991 did you change your oil?

I replaced the oil level sensor on the bottom of the oil pan, but light was still on. Then I reset the 15-pin Diagnostic Connector with a paper clip to pin 1 & 7. It worked, its off!
