Update 24.07.2024 / 09:00 h - Interruption Brig - Zermatt Due to the damage to the railroad system in the Mattertal valley, the continuous line between Visp and Täsch below Zermatt remains closed until at least August 25. All Glacier Express trains will run exclusively between St. Moritz and Brig until the line is opened. On the route between St. Moritz and Brig the normal services are available and the departure and arrival times for all stops will remain as per the timetable. For Glacier Express travelers from/to Zermatt, an appropriate alternative transport service is in operation in an extra train from Zermatt to Täsch and separate buses between Täsch and Brig. Guests affected will be informed directly by Railservice Glacier Express as soon as possible. For departures from Zermatt, we recommend that you arrive at Zermatt station half an hour before the regular departure time. Our staff will then meet you there. Optionally, you can also board the train directly in Brig. Please refer to the timetable for departure times. If you have already booked for the time in question and decide not to take the Glacier Express journey as planned please contact our customer service

The e-mail should include a PDF file, which is the actual reservation. You can keep that on your phone and optionally print it too. You'll find images of the PDF here: www.myswissalps.com/activity/glacier-express/#price.

I don't understand why you pay for these tickets if you have already purchased a Swiss Travel Pass, which you said allows you to travel all over the country for free.

Thanks for your question! Tickets are for the travel from A to B, and you do not need these with a Swiss Travel Pass. Seat reservations are a separate thing and only required for a few tourist trains like the Glacier Express. Congratulations on the video!! I have a question? In the Excellent class category ($490.00 currently), is the seat already included? Or is it just the meal package? If the person is going to purchase the Swiss Travel Pass 1 class later, would they just need to present the valid pass?

if i buy the another new swiss travel pass, can i need to amend the pass one after i finished the reservation?

I'm not sure if I understand your question, but Swiss Travel Passes cannot be changed. You can't change the start date, for example. You would have to cancel the pass and get a (partial) refund, and then get a new pass. Feel free to let me know if that does not answer your question.
