I was 290 lb and went down in a year and 4 months down to 150 unfortunately I feel in the plateau as well I over trained and been on binge eating for over 1 year I’m so glad I came accross to your Chanel honestly i feel lost and I have a huge fear of increasing my calories thank you for the tips

I lost 90 pounds during the pandemic but developed secondary amenorrhea. I relate to Carlos, I went too hard when I lost the weight and hit my weight goal. Now, I am strength training and trying to bring my calories up. When I was eating low calorie it was a horrible blur I never want to experience again, that was no way to live. My hormones just repaired at 150 pounds as a 5'4 female!!!. I was horrfied but not focusing on weight but repair and then I would like to get back to the 130s eventually.

I can relate i was running up to 7 and more miles a day and boxing and still try to hit 25000 steps and have a job i remember i would binge , first i lowered the steps and lowered my miles once i started building my metabolism i felt more in control and stopped bingeing adding weight training also helps my mood i had gone from 159 to 175 at 6,0 and i feel strong and healthy rn

Lose 55 lbs in 4 months running 12-15 miles a day and probably 1200 cals now I'm fucked 5'8 127 skinny fat

What is metabolism? I guess basal metabolic rate is almost completely dependent on body weight, so not much can be changed there without changing weight. Thermic effect of food is a daily calorie expenditure that's based on... well, how much and what type of food you eat. Then what's left of your daily expenditure is activity. Some of this is exercise and other parts are non-exercise and subconscious like NEAT. I think this is the part that the body self-regulates to try to match calorie intake. That's where this stuff gets really tricky. You put in 10,000 steps but the body counteracts that by reducing NEAT, etc. Need to think of some effective strategies to get around this.

I dropped from 370 to 230 while getting pretty jacked and made a very conscious choice to be OK with gaining a little weight between long spans of weight loss to both get a break and also put on as much muscle as I could. For example I might lose 35 lbs and then intentionally lean bulk for 10 lbs. My current sprint is dropping from 235 to 200 and then I will intentionally lean bulk back to 210. I plan to stay at 210 for roughly 3 or 4 months recomping before I make the call on another diet sprint. For context I am 46 now and was in killer shape in my early 20s. I have visible abs at around 200lbs, at least I did when I was a kid :P
