Also keep in mind, using the number of bars to measure the signal strength can be very misleading. 5 bars can be a POOR QUALITY SIGNAL. On Android, go to settings, about phone, sim status. That will show the signal strength measured in -dbm eg 110 -dbm and the asu. 4g lte can do more with a poor signal strength.

Don't turn off your data limit if you have limited issue, it's not the correct procedure. If you have a 5gb usage limit & are billed or allowance refresh on the 10th of the month then just ensure the settings are correct. Don't switch it off and get extra data charges. It's always useful to have your data warning and data limit accurately set if you don't have an unlimited package. Manual network selection isn't really that helpful. It's more likely you have bad 4/5G & sticking with 3g might be stronger signal but your speed could still be slower.

Oh WOW OMG . I'm on the Boost Mobile network. Which they use Sprint Tower. I live next to the mountains. My 4G in my house is always at 1 to 2 signal bars always and lose signal in the basement. This won't work, because the bandwidth between the the cellphone and the tower is to far or out of range. Therefore people should get a router that supports LTE(4G), and a network improver, it's a device that connects to the router and strengthens the bandwidth. And you didn't show how the signal strengthened hense your theory is incorrect.

I've had issues with my Mobile Network with Samsung S20 NoteUltra since I got it and what fixed it was clearing the sim toolkit cache (both of them since this phone has duel sim option) and going into Mobile Network and changing the Network Mode from 5G/LTE/3G/2G to LTE/3G/2G and back to 5G/LTE/3G/2G, works perfectly now :D

My Complaint Helpline also told me the same - to "turn off the data limit" in the internet troubleshooting sectuon! And I think he even explained why you should turn it off. 🤔

Because when the limit is reached you won't be able to use the mobile internet anymore and you won't know why. That's why they included it in the troubleshooting section.
