I plan to use KZbin Premiere once I develop a community. One of the tips I have heard is to engage with your community for about an hour after the release of the video. Premiere provides a method to better support the engagement.

Great video on the premiere feature. I feel like the benefit of this is definitely most noticeable once you have built a solid base. I think you really emphasized what KZbin and viewers respond well to...engagement and premieres really are just another form of it on the front end.

I have about 1000 subs and this has been a really fun feature for me. It is a great way to connect. If you have a small crowd like me, you can set it to launch the next day to draw a larger group. My subs are getting used to waiting till the next day so now they can plan on being there. I try to premiere every Fri. at 5 pm. with consistency.

This is what we’ve been doing on our actual channel. Without a total understanding of the way the algorithm suggests videos to people, logically it makes sense. Our audience of around ~200 subs all are seemingly casual KZbin users, and setting a premiere about 2 days in advance lets people see that we’re launching a video, and gives them time to pencil us in. We’re still playing around with the idea though. Our videos are typically short 5 minute videos, and we skipped the premier on the most recent video. Our biggest follower expressed her displeasure in missing the premier, and it hasn’t performed as well. I’m assuming every audience functions differently, and we’re still playing around to see what works out best.

I use my webcam mostly for creating my videos along with OBS Studio or with Screencast-O-Matic. I do KZbin live sessions alot. Never done a KZbin premiere. I just don't see my content as something that requires it yet, but maybe someday in the near future or on one of my other channels. Thanks for the cool tips.

On one of my other channels (8k at the time), I tried Premieres and it didn't work all that well, for 3 reasons: 1/ people get confused if they catch the premiere while it's playing but not from the beginning, asking if they'll be able to still watch it entirely afterwards. 2/ people didn't like to wait for the content, and I saw that comment on other channels too (maybe it was scheduled too much in advance) 3/ I didn't have great results when it comes to traffic after the fact. I just stopped using it on that channel, but I still like the feature... I guess I'll try it with some other content!

I've heard the first 24 hours that your video is posted can be the most important with ranking your video and getting more views. If that's true I can see the value in doing a premiere to help it get more views faster to help it rank higher. Also if people are subscribed to a ton of channels this can help prioritize your video so they watch it first. I think I will try a premiere at some point but I need to gain a few more subscribers first. Thanks for the tips and nice job with the video.

So not sure premiere is for my channel but I want to give it shot. I set one up this weekend. The video is short at around 4 mins but it's my first go at this. My thought is the ability to connect with those people that watch my content in a live setting. I hope this will help grow the channel also. The camera I use is a Sony FDR-X3000. Hey Sean, thanks for putting this video together, I always see that Premiere button but I didn't know anything about it. I just upgraded to a Canon 77D with EFS 10-18 mm lens, you recommended that setup in another video, works fantastic! On another note, since you are a KZbin wizard I was wondering if you have ever heard of this - I had a video go viral, it's called 'How to make $2,000 a month with 25 ducks'. It was building momentum and getting more and more views, it was up to 73,000 views in the last 48 hours. Then I had this dumb idea to put out a similar video and I called it, 'How to make $2,000 a month with 15 snakes'. The same hour I posted that new video was the same exact time my viral video crashed, it went down over 90% instantly, like KZbin just stopped promoting it. Maybe the titles were too similar and it thought I was posting a duplicate? Or coincidence? I was bummed about the views and money dropping but was kind of glad I stopped getting all the hate comments LOL. That new video is doing great, not viral though.

I have done several but my viewers all just got talking and I was answering questions and the chat time came to an abrupt end. I have looked everywhere to find out how long the chat should last and whether you can set the time for it, but to no avail. Would appreciate your feedback on this as I love the idea of releasing a new product with a premiere, but hated that my customers were left frustrated. Loving your book!!!
