How to boot from bitlocker encrypted hard drive using another computer

Hi I had a hp laptop with window 10 and encrypted with bitlocker (i have bitlocker key) .I have taken out my hard disk from laptop and now I bought surface laptop studio. Window on that drive is not working so please suggest me , Can I connect that drive to surface and decrypt bitlocker ?

The rear plastic case is cheap compared to the display and other components. Look at component layout videos; then use dremel cutting tool to remove plastic case. The display is usually the most expensive part in a laptop. Another possibility is to use a strong solvent such as acetone to soften or remove the edge glue. When using strong chemicals be sure you have good ventilation and chemical rated gloves.

Recommending people to disable BitLocker is NOT the way to go. Teaching people what BitLocker is, the importance of keeping Password. Device ID, and RECOVERY key safely stored on the other hand is the way to go. The information on many home computers these days is - for the individual - just as valuable as that held by banks or governments. We need to teach people to better safeguard such information. Not how to leave it wide open by disabling a feature that is very common and "free" to use (free on many versions of Win, free on Mac OS, and free if using programs like VeryCrypt. FWIW, all my HDs are BL encrypted, and all information (yes, ALL) regarding recovery keys, etc, etc, is stored in a few very secure places, updated regularly.

What feature are you talking about, the encryption of RAM to prevent cold boot attacks? I'm only familiar with veracrypt, does bitlocker have that option too? When I turn it on it impossible for the PC to "sleep", you have to turn it of.

@@telo6739 , actually do not know, but I'd think that the "Trusted Platform Module" would keep the encryption to prevent cold boot attacks. I just advice people to keep all "recovery information" handy and stored away in a safe place. So you can decrypt a BitLocker encrypted drive even if your password has gone missing (as the password is not the encryption key, you can change PW and the encryption key stays the same).

@@telo6739 you can use cloud (of course). Encypt files as available, use secure "vaults" (OneDrive offers it as an example, a storage container with extra security), use crazy code schemes so only you and trusted contacts understand your notes, etc. Maybe most important, make sure that trusted family members or relatives can access (updated) information in case the worst happens.

what about if you connect the drive on another windows computer with USB? I tried that but i get "no media" in the disk management. the disk doesn't appear in the bitlocker list.

How to enable bitlocker or remove it completely? I have the correct password and key recovery saved in .txt The probleme I have changed the OS win 10 version. Although it showing the ID key is the same saved in the .txt. The key recovery not working.

Hi dear youtuber I used Easy bcd To install windows 10 from disk partition If you ask me why It is because my Usb and dvd drivers physically damaged After messing with Easy bcd program I got black screen Bootloader error I have a question How can i fix this ? Can i remove my laptops hard drive and place it into Another Laptop and try you method To fix bootloader ? Whit the same Operation System 32 bit windows? Best regards...... Thank you Please help me
