Hi, I have been using brother multi-needle embroidery but just presently acquired a CM900 and an SDX900 and I am amazed at the capability just one question I have now got the Caligriphy kit, universal pen holder, and I looking at the thin strokes pen holder. the reason why I want to draw Chinese and Japanese characters is this possible. I need to get the look that they have been done with w Asian calligraphy brush. can you give any advice, please Steve in the UK

There is not currently a way to search for projects. In Canvas for the web (web site), you are able to save projects to "My Projects". These are viewed all at once and select the one you wish. If you are using Canvas for PC (the app), projects are saved to your computer, or USB flashdrive. Both versions, you are able to transfer wirelessly if the machine is compatible (projects are not automatically saved).

It would be nice to be able to search My Projects/library (Silhouette provides that feature) as I have several pages of projects. Brother should consider including that in a future update. @@BrotherCraftsUSA

Can you only access scans for cutting data saved to the cloud in the online version and not the downloaded for PC or Mac version?

You are only able to access your "My Projects" section in the Canvas for the web version at canvasworkspace.brother.com/en . If you are using Canvas for PC, which is the downloaded version, your creations are saved to your actual computer. You can choose to save to a USB flashdrive or transfer wirelessly using either version. Julie, I know this is older but I am having an issue. Last Christmas, just after I got my SDX85S I saved files to a thumb drive and opened them on my machine. I hadn't used the machine but a few times but they were true scan and cuts. Today I am trying to save a project I made and every time I say export (so I can save it to my thumb drive) it tells me error The image data will not be exported or transferred with the cut data (N10004) and I for the life of me can't understand why. My design is inside the red dotted lines. I have a few other Scan and cut files on this thumb drive and they are find. Can you help please. TYIA

If you are receiving the N10004 error, please see the link below: support.brother.com/g/b/faqend.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=hf_sdx85seus&faqid=faqh00101188_000 You are able to press "OK" and proceed with transferring your cut file, but the image underneath will not be transferred with it. We apologize for any inconvenience. The machine can directly read data in the FCM format. You are able to import SVG images into CanvasWorkspace, and convert them to the FCM format.
