Instead of copying the midi track, which is a good idea, I simply do all the editing, now that you can with EZD3, and save it in a separate location, and then go through the exporting process. This way the midi track is always available, just like you’re doing, which is a really good piece of advice.

THANK YOU. I’ve been fighting with this for days. The routing inside of Studio One is bizarre and labyrinthine to me, I can’t make any sense of it, and all I want are midi drum tracks printed down to audio. This was so much easier and less complicated in my last DAW 😭

@@joshuabutlermusic Yaah, I'm looking for a quick and efficient classic drum plugin, above all that allows me to export each stem individually.
@vidmohit46842 жыл бұрын
Awesome guide thanks. I'm still pretty new to this. After transforming to audio, do you have to pan the individual drum instruments?
@DVTOM2 жыл бұрын
ok good video BUT, can you show how to have multiple outs for each mic, like Kick In and Kick out as mono being seen by S1 as a mono track? I have Superior Drummer 3 and S1 can only see the ins from either EZD2 or SD3 as 16 total stereo ins and none of them as a mono so when you EXPAND in S1 it creates a stereo track, not mono, limiting how many total tracks it makes in S1. In my case it only allows as many Stereo tracks totalling 16 stereo tracks not the 32 mono tracks your way would technically be. So if I create say a 32 channel kit all mono S1 can't see anything except 1/2,3/4, etc. Moving EZD or SD3 sliders in mixer L or R has no effect in S1 but in Pro Tools it will import as 32 mono channels not 16 stereo.

How do you fix the problem with the hi hat not closing and opening when you bounce to audio? How do you bake in the control changes? Thanks!

Fantastic video :-) I still struggle with getting Studio One 4 to run audio on EZ rummer 2 midifiles though.... Update: I finally found the dll. and now it's running, took me 2 years to find out...!

Do you mean how do I get ezdrumner to sound real?
@chatter76533 жыл бұрын
Seems like after you've created the entire midi performance, there should be a 'one click' option to send each drum part, named , to it's own track as audio that also leaves the original midi track as is that you can mute or hide. Odd how many hoops you have to jump through.
@joshuabutlermusic3 жыл бұрын
I agree 100%. I’m about to come out with an updated video for patterns also.

Thanks for this great info! I do have a question: at 9:04 when you bounced selection, could you have bounce to new track instead - and would that have saved the MIDI track?
@joshuabutlermusic3 жыл бұрын
You can bounce to new track with no issues. It will save but disable the midi. If you need the midi again just right click and click enable midi to bring it back. 🤗
