Appreciate you breaking down the basics. I recently suffered a major thumb injury, so looking to make the switch to bowling 2-handed. I hope this is helpful

Solid vid. I think the push away just depends though. Guys like Packy and Justin Bohn push away on 2nd step of 5 step approach and their swings are much longer. Belmo pushes away at end of 2nd step and Jesper doesn't really have a push away. I would just experiment. The later timing might help increase ball speed though as it forces us to speed up the downswing.

Do anyone know how to control your aim when you release? I always got gutter or too close on the left since I'm trying to aim for like 3-5 ish board
@KaiTheArchive2 ай бұрын
Try releasing further out in your release and adjust to the left if you are right handed, or the other if you are left.

Matt, I've been away from bowling for a while. "Back in the day", I averaged in the mid-190's using the traditional one-hand method. But the two-hand style intrigues me. Is it necessary to have the two finger holes? What if your ball had no holes but, perhaps, you wore a golf glove on each hand for control using a short two-three step approach. Does that sound feasible to you? And as a senior, would you recommend my using a 14-15 lbs ball rather than 16? Thanks for any feedback, Matt.
@Eva-oq8kq Жыл бұрын
Well I’m not Matt but I could confidently tell you that you don’t necessarily need holes in your bowling ball to do two handed bowling, but it definitely makes it a lot easier to hook when you do since you have to do less contact/friction on the ball with your hand. Also starting off on the lighter side of your comfortable weight range is better to develop technique.

Is it necessary to swing your arm after the release? Or it comes to preference.
@xxxDPDaniel17xxx Жыл бұрын
it's completely useless
@canefan17 Жыл бұрын
Preference. The swing after can be an indication that the arm was loose and tension-free throughout the swing, but it's certainly not a requirement.

Sometimes I find myself rolling previous target rather present target maybe it helps to forget the previous target for the next roll.

that’s wen you start moving out the way i believe because the second hand is acting like your thumb essentially so you wanna remove it wit timing i’m new to two handing aha just my theory

thank u very much im a 14 yr old trying to go from straight to two handed because its not confortable to try and spin with thumb thanks and three things 1 this is my second old google account 2 when u show not enough spin its because u spin it to frond not on side and the last one , i use spare balls from my local bowling and when i play like that my spin is so powerfull that even the ball from right side goes to the left in few seconds ok thats it thank u :DD

yup. a lot of these tutorials are pretty basic but one thing they constantly get wrong or miss is having way too much rotation on the side of the ball. Never release on the side, always behind it. U can create great rotation without going to the side of the ball for your release. Strange a team US bowling member wouldnt include this and displays what u shouldnt do

what creates the hook if you're releasing straight up the back?
@ericpadilla245411 ай бұрын
@@w.alan.21 the core of the ball does. Thats why there is different balls that hook more than others. U dont have to go directly behind the ball but that will tell u how much hook ur ball has so u can determine your hand tilt on release.

Why the hate for evolving of the game? One hander 2 hander no difference as long as 10 pins drop. At least it’s attracting the youth to come play. New, Old generation there’s gunna be 2handers. Stop the hate and just enjoy the game

So all of you defending the two handed bowlers as an evolution of the game better not even pipe up about string pins because you cannot support one then condemn the other when it’s another evolution to the game………….. as screwed up as it is it’s true
