Had a coach tell me that warm ups should be not only used for warming up but peeling up a spot on the lane where you want it to hook and blending the pattern when it’s fresh since the backends will be sharp. He said there’s no point in striking during practice as nothing will count until practice is over and you’re only burning up your line and creating carrydown during practice.
