Great video! As a single dad with 2 sons and 4 daughters, I learned to braid my girl's hair, paint nails, apply makeup, etc. I figured out the basic 3 strand braid on my own when they were little, and later my oldest daughter showed me how to do the French and Dutch braids. I also learned and enjoy knitting. Skills that everyone should have!

I have long corse super straight hair and when I was younger I LOVED when my mom would do me my French braid down the middle for school 💖 Now I have to learn to do it on myself ….. I’ve done it before but my hand get so tired cause I have a lot of hair and it’s long ….😪 lol

Looks so easy to do but is so hard for me to do the French braid and Dutch braid on myself. I can do it on other people just not myself. I do the French braid a little better though. Just cand get my fingers to to the Dutch braid for some reason.

I tried to do the Dutch braid starting at the nape of my neck. Making sure to go under the middle strand. It looked exactly like a traditional braid which brings the right and left strands over the middle. Did I do something wrong or is that what it should look like? Please and thank you! You have beautiful hair and are extremely talented and have great fine motor dexterity ( which I don’t 😂).

I'm a guy and found rubber bands makes it easier so i don't have to hold it so when I'm done I could just cut the rubber band
