If you use a single hole punch for your holes they are small and uniform in size...It's also easier to control placement. You can even get the punches in different sizes. Love the shirts...keep coming with the ideas!

Actually, the person I know that chipped her teeth was my Pediatrics attending in New York Presbyterian, and it happened veryvery late at night, but she HAULED her dentist into the clinic even at that time to do the repair job lollll :) will be voting daily :) i haven't stumbled across a lot of other vancouver student youtubers, i think you're the only one i'm subscribed to, and this is my way of thanking you for your helpful vids :)
@SalinaSiu12 жыл бұрын
I think they can do that if it's a small chip. Too much of mine broke off :( I had to get a root canal and a crown. I only did one row of holes actually! Yeah sorry the starting is not so clear :( Thread the string into the first hole all the way. Then start doing what I demonstrated with the loops.
@sandrabacon34458 жыл бұрын
In cutting strip for the braid...did you just cut a strip desired width , pull out seam threading to make one long strip (actually the circumference of shirt bottom used). Then making a loop at end of strip, inserting loop into hole. Make another loop with the strip and insert it into the next hole. Take second loop, join together, and continue this process until you reach the last hole. Repeat entire process again using same holes and tying all ends into one knot?

Sorry lol. Yeah it's hard to try it out beforehand cause I don't want to use two shirts for each video. I'll try to make the videos more organized.

awww i hope it didn't hurt too much. does it feel better yet? how did you get an extra row with the same line of holes? :)

i think they can fill in teeth these days with this whitish stuff? my mom chipped her tooth and they just molded this stuff onto it and it looks fine now. maybe you could get it fixed? or did you already? i LOVE the braid but i actually can't completely follow how you got it started and how you finished with a second row. you did two sets of holes and did the same loopy thingy? did you put the holes right next to the other holes you had made for the first row? or maybe between?? thanks so much!

@CrayolaaLover it doesn't work well with an off the shoulder top just because it looks off... However I did just do it with a shirt which I cut the collar off to make it a lower top & it worked great so it's totally doable.

So for the second braid you did, did you put it on top of the first or was one above and the other was below?

I actually like the "scrunched" look~as long as it's symmetrical, it looks like you planned it that way. Also I personally wanted a higher neckline so your tutorial gave me a LOT of great info to make my own. THANK YOU!!!

so cute!!! liked this video!!
@marybrown899211 жыл бұрын
Hm... I have a suspicion that the the braid is thinner in the center because the holes were farther apart there. I'd like to try this and make the loops tighter in the front and looser in the sides so it scrunches, but doesn't distort the sleeves. Do you think that'd work?
@farihajidda812511 жыл бұрын

I watched the video up until the point where you poked holes around the neckline, then all of a sudden the braiding is halfway done ... did I miss something? The video goes from poking the little holes to looping on an already braided front :-( . I don't know how to start the braiding at all :-(

Sorry about your unfortunate tooth event. I love this idea!! One thing I don't understand is this written instruction - "Instead of 2 sets of knots for 2 braids, tie THEM together with only 1 knot and hide it in the back" 'Them' who?? The beginning and end of your string?Are you saying to use just one string twice as long as your first one and go around the neck twice?? I'd love to see a tutorial of how you achieved this look...I'm a bit lost lol

You are an inspiring young lady. With my bulky knitting machine I will design a curved neckline for a plain top, including well spaced eyelets 3/4 inch from the edge. Next a narrow cord of the same color knitting yarn, for the top braid, while watching my hand laced loop tension, will be made. I will try 3x the neck circumference. Since I have made more than 40 self designed sweaters, it should work. Some of my designs were published by Annie's Attic in the 1980s.

I chipped my tooth a few years ago playing tether ball. Got hit in the face. Not the best experience. Got a crown, then it got infected and I had to get a root canal and since I'm scared of dentists I had to go to the hospital to get it done so i wouldn't attack the dentist. But now you can hardly notice haha.
