conditions also dictate which tees to use. 6300 yards is nice if playing on a well drained fast fairway with good roll but often 6000 yards can be a struggle in wet winter soggy conditions where you have to carry every inch.

I always the tips or 1 up from the tips. But only because of I'm anywhere closer, I drive the ball within 60-70 yards of the green and I struggle with less than full shots. So I shoot better scores from the tips than I do from the closer tees. Kinda weird

Regarding course length - all my local courses have less than a 100m difference between the three tees. That's 100m total over 18 holes, not each hole. This course has 116m PER HOLE.
