The best thing you can do is get records of horn players and figure out their lines by ear. Magic will happen in your playing.

You shouldnt be trying to "sound authentic" in your gypsy jazz improv if you didnt already know everything this guy was explaining. This video is very very basic. Almost pointless. Beginners shouldnt be worrying about gypsy jazz improv lol. Focus on muscle memory, songs and a bit of theory. Jeeez. Baby steps.

Yes this free video sucks! IMO there is no such thing as a pointless guitar video. There is always a nugget of info to be learned. I am a novice, but I swear I have jammed with guys who have played for years and who get paid to play... who said 'Hey what was that you just did". Floored me but the point is we all learn from each other. I for one enjoyed this FREE lesson.
