Shot 67 2 months ago. Have just turned 64 years of age as well. Had a double bogey in that score followed by holing 9 iron second shot for eagle plus 4 birdies against par of 71. I was 63 at the time. Take my 4 handicap off and have shot my age Nett! Concentrated on keeping the ball on target rather than trying to hit it hard.

Hi Mark nice vid as always. How to break par and lower your scores - go for the V (15:00). Classic. ;-) My best round was E on 18, gone below on 9 holes several times. Personally to go low, I would say be as aggressive as you can, but as conservative as you need. Go for it when you have the chance, but don't get too wild and start spraying balls on impossible shots. Best wishes from Germany!

Ladies European and LPGA tours are both worth a watch for valuable insight into how to get round a course under par. They hit ball approx same distance as amateur men (250ish yards off tee) and their short games are up there with the elite pro men. Add in their course strategy and they are perfect role models for us club players 👍

Coming in under par when coming up short a few times due to misjudging the wind is impressive. Even breaking par isn't all about hitting great shots but limiting the damage. I would have never gone for that through the V shot in stroke play, clearly it worked but that had real potential to be a card wrecker IMO. I do like seeing how better golfers think.

When did Mark start using 10 finger grip? Any particular reason? I tried it last year when i had a finger injury and found it really odd and difficult to hit hard but he seems to use it to get speed. Not seen it before from a pro so am interested. Have i missed a vid where it is discussed? Not sure i would ever change now but its always interesting getting other ideas. Thanks.
