a couple tips that i use are leaving your phone behind, like instead of having it on you 24/7 leave it in another place if you're walking around your house or have it deep in a bag instead of in an accessible pocket if you're out and about. i also have a rule where i cant use youtube sitting down, like if i have a video on i have to be standing or doing something at the same time, which makes me get more things done (e.g. i'll start tidying) and also be more considerate before i watch youtube because i have to decide if its worth standing up. anyways thats just what works for me (and even then sometimes it doesnt work, be kind to yourself!), i hope someone else can find it useful too!

Honestly I was in the same position and it’s so harrowing realising how much time you’ve wasted 🥲 buttt realisation is the first step to making a change

I get lost for ages on the explore page, watching cute videos of animals and the most random selection of stuff. It’s definitely the dopamine/ escapism (lots of mental health stuff going on). Thanks for the video 🥰💙

I’m always so happy when I find another creator with amazing content. I downloaded Forest after watching your last three videos and have already used it for 50 minutes and did a lot of productive things. I’ll be binge watching your videos ❤ I don’t study medicine but I am a business psychology student, your studying videos will be appreciated. I’ll forever be grateful for KZbin and creators like yourself for motivating, inspiring and making people like myself happy through videos ❤️❤️

Thanks for another great video! I am also a medical provider and I hate having (and typically don’t) have plans on Friday night because of being tired from the work week, and have very little FOMO about it. I don’t allow myself to use my phone after a certain time of the evening and keep it away from my bed. I enjoy reading in my little free time and am able to read at least one book a month by staying off my phone and keeping the TV off.

Faye, I love the format of the video: giving a reason why people use their phones and then a REALISTIC solution. This helps people really unpack why they might be addicted to their phones and also realise that a lot of these things are solvable or just in your head…. :))

YOU GOT THIS!! THIS IS THE TIME TO KEEP YOUR PHONE AWAY, I strongly suggest you to do so based on my terrible experience. I've learnt it the hard way. You should try to discipline yourself and hold yourself accountable in every daily habits of yours. Study Hard, don't give up. I will pray for you to get All A* in every subject of your alevels. So please dear, start studying... All of it will be worth it, In sha Allah. Trust me ❤

AMAZING vid Faye. Thank you SO much for it and the timing is perfect too, alot of people have finals including myself:))) Also, my FAVE reason is the pseudo flow state. I just didn't have the words to describe it and now I do. I am SOO happy!!!

Opal is sooo expensive for a student though. I’d recommend Jomo with exactly the same functions and half price!
