But it's not the same as moving actual furniture as it's not 3D!
@24ofaamna4 жыл бұрын
Ekaterina truth plus it isn’t the same size as the actual furniture so you wouldn’t be able to see if everyone thing fits
@aalphapink4 жыл бұрын
Ekaterina 🤔I think it depends. it’s more about bringing the 2D floor plan principle (used by architects, interior designers/decorators) to a real-life scale. I mean, if you wanted 3D, then u COULD technically create card board rectangles/squares that have approximate dimensions of a specific furniture piece, but that’s only if you needed an idea of how much vertical space would be utilized. Sometimes, you only need the 2D though...which is what this technique is useful for! This technique would be great for people who are trying to estimate if their new French door refrigerator will actually fit nicely within their 750 sq foot apartment. Since it’s a refrigerator, you already KNOW that it will take up a certain amount of vertical space, but maybe you just need to see if the door swing of the new fridge will collide with adjacent counters or the door swing of the stove (door swing and product dimensions are typically listed on websites of the big box stores). Maybe you don’t have any cabinets over the fridge space & don’t have to worry about getting it through small doorways, so creating a 3D model would possibly be a waste of paper/cardboard. Certain things can be inferred, depending on one’s own spatial reasoning skills. I personally think this is a good technique for people who like to be informed buyers. I would I hate to spend $900 on a fridge plus $200 shipping, then have the thing wheeled into my top floor apartment just to find out that when I put it in the desired spot of the kitchen, the door will potentially get banged up over time because one of the doors is too close to the countertop. 😅😁 but you can definitely estimate door swing and certain aspects about sq footage when using this 2D technique.

It might work in bad cultures like Africa or Moslem nomads, but not in civilised countries
@letitiatsunami37495 жыл бұрын
@@andrews4596 So people in Africa live in "bad uncivilized cultures"? Africans are the ones that went to Europe and pulled those Europeans from the caves they were living in, stopped them from eating raw meat, taught them about proper hygiene, etc. Stop being racist. Everything you typed was totally uncalled for. You have no couth. And I don't even know where "Moslem" is, so I won't address that at all.

Lol. Wow...funny you should mention "wigs"...are you talking about the host? The moment they did a close up on her (and subsequent close ups), I said that she should fire the person who put that wig/extensions on her head. Yep, I'm a "naysayer" who knows that when a wig *looks* like a wig -- whether it's on my own head or not _(but that wouldn't be the point anyway...)_ -- then it's not a good wig...

T Great ideas, although the room looked overcrowded. There wasn't a lot of space remaining for path of travel, or to really even turn about in the space once the furniture was laid out. How would this accommodate larger persons, or someone wearing a flowing gown (tangled up on the corners of those tables) ... now that would have been a good challenge question to answer. This is why some of us architects, at times, battle with interior desecrators (interior decorators). They don't plan for scale and ease of access. It's as if they don't have a concept for spatial relations beyond paint and pillow tossing. Oversized furniture is not the answer.
