How to Breathe Swimming with a Snorkel

Bruh when I first used a snorkel I almost drowned for the first 5 mins of not knowing how to breathe and my coach yelled at me so hard-

Same bro I know that this is a month old but I’m now a freshman and we got it snorkels today and my god I just had to keep taking to off every three strokes to just not die 😂, I just cant breathe in when I got pressure in my nose and water starts to seep in through my nose when i swim

Happened to me, came out of practice super bloated and ahe never did a set with a snorkel ever again lol. She felt bad while I suffered

The first time I used mine, coach was hella mad at me, telling me he was disappointed because I felt very dizzy and needed air constantly. He expected me to swim 800m nonstop to warm up. Took me that one class, the next one was easier and easier and now I really enjoy using it!

i was unable to use it without water entering through my nose whenever i try to inhale under water. Could some one tell me what am I doing wrong???

@@iiking3284 The problem with that is when you’re swimming freestyle normally. I recommend a nose plug if that’s an issue.

​@@KrakVoltgood idea. A nose plug might be useful while using a snorkel since if u try to breath in or out with your nose you will remember you need to exhale,enhale with your mouth
