Both parents IVs get passed down. Although it's not 5 IVs from each parent but rather 5 IVs will get picked randomly from both parents. So the 5 IVs can be from both the male and female parent

Well it still isn't guaranteed since the game could still pick the one imperfect iv from the rockruff to be passed down, and remember the dknot doesn't pass down all six IVs so there's one IV that's gonna be randomized. Also you don't need destiny knots on both of the parents. Just one of them is fine

Nope, it should have passed down that IV. Maybe you gave the power item to the wrong parent, or both your parents are holding a power item. (In this case the game chooses only one of the parent's IVs to be passed down)

I've actually never heard of that before. I've had my account data ever since I've made it, and have only lost my data once due to some datawipe that happened. Either way, I don't think your data just gets lost without a reason. And even if it does, the devs probably would've done something about it already

Special attack is when the attacks pokemon deal doesn't come from a direct body hit. Meaning that move doesn't require physical contact with the opposing pokemon to deal damage (moves like tackle for example that makes the pokemon physically tackle the opponent, isn't a special atk move). Special attack moves are moves like flamethrower for example, makes the pokemon able to hit the opponent from far away without having to physically hit them. Special defense is the ability to withstand special attacks
