Empty your entire bank account first, then apply product quickly and evenly, take 2nd mortgage on home, again apply thinly but evenly, after doing said procedures, reapply with personal loan from friends and family, this time go heavy with product, apply thinly and evenly. Skip your kids birthday and wifes anniversary, take grandma to bank, empty as needed, reapply product if oxidation persists. Continue as needed. Repeat all steps.

Darren, that’s is to a extremely oxidize Gelcoat that most be wet sand and compound. 80% of the boat can be compound, Polish and wax. For medium to medium heavy oxidation Cut &Polish #2 + Swirl Remover #3 fallow by protective wax. Very simple. There is not shortcuts to a great finish on Gelcoat.

Absolutely. Sell much? I've seen a few boats that need wet sanding but I've never done it nor will I endorse it. It's a waste of time at that point unless you're flipping a boat and screwing the next owner. I put my skills with what I use (basically store-bought stuff) against all this.

Honestly I work in a body shop and I paint and buff shit for a living. The miracles I get away with, without the use of all those damn pads is a life saver, you dont need half of that crap to get the same results! I promise you. Less is more and never let your pad get to dry, squirt bottles are your friends
@SeaShieldVideos6 жыл бұрын
I agree on most gelcoat boat you are able to cut with a Medium Compound like our Cut and Polish #2. This video was done on a extremely oxidize gelcoat. Sanding was required and most skill paint correction can get same result white wool. Keep in mind car clear coat is much softer than gelcoat.
@Cheepchipsable5 жыл бұрын
Paint isn't the same as gelcoat. To get a really good finish on gelcoat does require a lot of work. You can do an average job quickly, which impresses most people, ( a lot like paint work). You can get a good looking finish on car paint...then hide stuff with a good wax. Problem is how long does that finish last?

@@MessianicJudaism little late to the party here, but go to your local Autozone and grab a bottle of the 3M Machine Polish near the paint. Will remove 2000 grit sanding marks at high speed, and has a nice finish on speed settings 1-3. Most boats are not as dull and oxidized as the sample panel. The majority of boars can be started with Cut and Polish #2 and New Final Polish for best finish. Also you should with your local shipyard a quote for a new paint job. You may be surprise the real price to paint a boat… much more than you think.
