Hello, I just watched the video and it became interesting, two weeks ago I bought a Riverside 520E bike. I want to ask if I can put this motor on my bike, to have two motors.

hi, I am glad you like this video. yes, you can add a second motor but wait for the warranty period to be over. Do not modify your bike when its new :)

Awesome video. Thanks for sharing. I'm hoping to build this bike. Can you send re-share the link for the battery as it's stopped working.

Good one. Why dont you put the new motor on your riverside 500e? I just bought one and want to buy an extra front motor like in this video - do you think this will work too, or are there any problems I missed? Thanks

Hi, thanks for your comment :) Originally I wanted to add the second (front) motor to my Riverside 500E but I changed my mind because the e-bike would be too heavy and too powerful. I decided to build a second e-bike and have 2 bikes. Technically you can add a front motor to your Riverside 500E - no problem. PS. I have an idea to buy a mountain bike and add 2 1500W motors and 2 batteries. It will be the ultimate off-road e-bike. What do you think about this idea?

Do you use torque arms? Aren’t they a must for such strong motor (look what happened to your front fork)?
@ArthurBrassart Жыл бұрын
No, unfortunately, I am not using torque arms :( I never thought about it. I think I should install them. You are totally right I should start using them :) I gonna order right now. Security and life have no price and since I already had an accident I should think twice ;) Thanks for your suggestion !

Nice bike and tutorial, I´ve been thinking about buying a riverside 500 E from decathlon as my first E-bike, do you think is better going for that or its worth to make one myself (note that I want to pedal normally and just use the motor as assistence when needed)

Hi, thanks for your comment 🧸🙏 on my channel. I have a bunch of videos about a regular Riverside 500 E. Check them out if you are interested in this E bike. I have it as well and I’m using it time to time. Let’s say if you just want to have an e-bike without any building process. Just buy the Riverside 500 E. It’s good. But if you would try to build your own E bike, you would never be able to use Riverside 500 E again. The custom one has more juice (more powerful motor). It’s like riding a basic spec car and full option max spec motor. You got the idea. If you’re not sure about the building process, and you building skills or you don’t have time it’s better to buy Riverside 500E.

@@ArthurBrassart Thx for the reply, I´ve decided to do my own E-bike, what I want is basically the same as a Riverside 500E but with a more powerfull assistence from the motor (something like 40km/h) at more or less the same budge range (1000-1200€), do you have any suggestions? P.S: I subscribed to your channel :)

I've just build a very similar Ebike With 27.5 inch 48v 1000-watt hub motor. What I got for free out of the trash but took 4 days to fix it. I also got a GT bike for free With very good hydraulic brakes air shock suspension and more. Everything was completely broken but I fixed everything up. I already had a 48v 84v 2000-watt controller. I've always had lithium batteries what I bought from a failed business Original cells. So 70 cells cost me about £20 I had to pay £50 for downtube removable battery box. For the full Ebike only cost me £83. Because I bought plastic controller box aswell for £13. I did buy a cheap battery charger and BMS = £17 So all together for everything = £100
