Pro tip, use a hole saw bit in reverse to prevent fraying around the hole.

you should spray paint the bucket black so less light hits the roots, or just buy a black bucket

Quick tip, when drilling the holes and to avoid damage on the plastic, drill it with a flat wood underneath. Hope to start mine soon. Great video...

Love the video! Can you link the sprinkler head and the hose you used to connect the pump?

Hey man. Cool setup, got some questions. Firstly, can/should you make a bucket for 1 entire plant? Is aeroponics really only used for seedlings? Can't it be used to grow like an entire tomato plant? No one seems to be selling or making em except for tiny plants. Secondly, I was looking to hydroponics and the problem I see there is having to change water weekly. 8 buckets x 16 weeks is 128 buckets to carry thru the house to the bathtube... gauranteed ill drop 2 or 3 and have an unhappy landlord, lol. So i want to checkout aerodroponics before i give up and do soil. In theory, if your spraying à fine mist you dont need a huge recevoir, less water less sporadic use since im sure sublimation and evaporation plays a role to reduce the need for water changing. So I guess my question is, am i crazy? Thirdly, what am I missing, lol.

You can grow up to 3 plants successfully with this setup!!! No you are not crazy which is why aeroponics is a go to! You will use less water in theory however you have to make sure the nutrients are pumping through the spray which you can control at the water source.

@THEJONESFAMILYCHANNEL Thanks man, I think I'm gonna build one bad ass system then expand from there, make sure I get it right. I'm an I&C engineer so should be able to get it to ideal... going to look more to industrial components. Sounds like I need a spray sensor... this reminds me of coal crusher fogging and deluge system I once built. You say three plants one bucket? All the way to fruiting? I sort of read and got the impression that the Ultra small particle size of fog is really best for small plants, once they get big the like it bigger. Also, tomatoes can split from too much water, but in hydro the danger is the same and still controlable?

sprinklerponics is cheap and simple but it wont provide any of the benefits associated with aeroponics.
@THEJONESFAMILYCHANNEL3 жыл бұрын
Let's talk.. How do you recommend spraying the stems/roots with water?
@atomizer26653 жыл бұрын
@@THEJONESFAMILYCHANNEL Thats not an easy one to answer as it depends on the kind of mist you have. The best way i can describe it is to imagine throwing yourself into a lake vs being outside in heavy rain vs being lost in a fogbank. The lake is hydroponics, the heavy rain is sprinklerpnics and the fogbank is aeroponics. When you climb out of the lake you`ll take hours to dry off. The heavy rain isnt much different because you`ll be almost as wet when it stops. With the fogbank you will become damp over time but never too wet or too dry. The fog doesnt need to be directed at you because you are immersed in it. High pressure aero is the best option for outdoors, i run it in square and horizontal chambers but its also good for vertical towers, its very productive and reliable. It can be used to grow almost anything and produce roots like this kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYnLoJanequVa6M Perfect mist grows roots like this kzbin.info/www/bejne/omK1nqBvf9uDnLs but its more expensive and cant be used outdoors where you can have full sun one minute and cloud the next. If you get bitten by the aero bug you`ll want to run it indoors and outdoors
