Pretty sure real estate can give you way higher returns than this over 25 years. Consider that a 5lakh 30x40 site in the city in the year 2000 is now selling for 2cr minimum. That's 40x the investment. And there are no fluctuations like in stock market where if anything goes wrong, your portfolio can be down by 10-20% in a bad year and if that happens to be the year you'd need the money then you're screwed.

Hi What is the conservative return one should consider when looking at a 15-20 years horizon - would it be 8% or 10% Kindly advise
@jaikrishnank4283 жыл бұрын
Ashish, this will depend on a lot of parameters. Main one being the instrument that you are investing in. Your tax bracket also plays a role when you do an investment in Corporates etc., But you can easily take 8% if you will invest in ELSS (which has a lock-in of - I believe - 3 years) it is tax friendly as well. If you have the risk appetite, take a 'Direct' index fund from ET Money itself. UTI has a Nifty Index fund, buy it and SIP and forget about it for about 10 years then take out money for your goals every now and then, but don't stop the SIP.

@@ETMONEY what am Trying to understand that long term corpus which can suffice the expenses considering a decent inflation graph - example we are looking at education day engineering which used to happen at 3-4 lacs for 4 years around 2005 which Cost almost 4 times now The income of a salaried middle class hasn’t multiplied 4 times in that duration - so what’s a fair approach considering the hard earned money does get justification and the expenses are met when someone is not working or retired Countries like Europe - people work at age 70 as well as their concept is hand to mouth and the kids manage on their own which isn’t the case in India

After we reached the 10 cr corpus , how much we can withdraw after the tax

I am totally agree with you that we can make money in long term. The long we stay in the market probability of negative returns reduced. But one thing I do not understand at the age of 60 what you will do by having 10 Cr in you bank account. You can not enjoy with that money because age does not permit you. You have to be choosy to enjoy. It would be better If I could have 10 Cr by the age of 50 at least I would have 10 years to enjoy.

Amazing videos with stats & detailed insights....please keep up this kind of video as most others only speak more without much of the data from the last 10-15% which is very helpful here.

Thanks for great information. Please tell me If I am investing in PPF and NPS on monthly basis, is it still required to invest in debt mutual fund for diversification or I can put rest of my investments in equity fund? I am already investing 15,000 per month in both and I can invest 30,000 per month additional.

Hi Shankar, I have another question regarding NPS, I have earlier started an nps sip of 3000 rupees, 2 months later started another nps sip of 5000. How can I add this two NPS sips together as a single Sip. Both are linked with a single PRAN no.
@engineerv32483 жыл бұрын
How did you start your SIP to NPS? There is D-Remit option. You can create virtual accounts to make transfers to both the NPS accounts. Once these are accessible, you can treat it as another bank account, and trigger monthly transfer. Minimum is 500/-.
