Let me start off by saying I'm 73 and still do all my own Wrenching. I installed the 128" S & S Cylinder Kit awhile back. Also installed a Stage 4 Kit minus the Cylinders and Cam. Harley Extreme-Flow Intake & Filter. I polished all the Ports and Combustion Chambers and the Plenum. I put a Zippers RedShift 468 Cam in. Also S&S CamPlate/OilPump. I replaced the Rocker Arm Shaft hold-down bolts with Studs. I installed a ThunderMax ECM and let it do its Magic . Put on a D & D Billet Cat Exhaust. Now I find out that Harley has a 131" Stage 4 Kit so I bought it. So now off with most of the stuff I put on and I'm installing the New Stage 4 Kit...after I polish the Ports & Combustion Chambers.

I just got the S&S 128 kit in my bike, full cam chest with their 475 gear cam, 2-1 exhaust, then put in a new clutch, basket pressure plate and compensator eliminator as well.

I have the S&S 475G cam in my 19 RGU. I was thinking of grabbing the S&S 128 pistons and cylinders over the winter. I know the Full 128 kit ( the $2600 one I am referring to) they use the 550 cam but I was curious how the 475 does with it since I already have that cam.

Jason Carboni from what I was told by S&S the 475 is more of a torque setup and the 550 is Hp with the 128. I wanted the torque so I went with the 475.

@@jasoncarboni3682 the 550 doesn't preform well on the lower RPM unless you pair it with heads and throttle body. The 475 with stock heads is a stump puller!!!

Please do an overview of the 131 kit. I’m told the head pipe that comes with the kit is similar to the one that’s on the bike. What’s the difference with the included head pipe versus the stock one other than a Euro4 stamp? I’d like to see power numbers with the 131 with the included head pipe and mufflers versus a 2-1 aftermarket (e.g., D&D Billet Cat).

How would this compare to the H-D stage 4 128 kit

This setup makes over 130 foot pounds of torque from 2,000 rpm's and carries it to 5,000 with a max of 144 around the 4,000 mark. The Harley set up maxes out around 125 and is less than that for most of the pull. here are the main differences in this set up and the Harley-Davidson; cam, injectors, exhaust and tuning. There are some more differences but these are the main ones. If you have more questions please call the shop and ask for Aaron or Jamie - 615-274-4170.

I have s&s 128 build. Im running fullsac head pipe with tab zombie baffle. I got a feeling there is alot more in the bike. If i change the baffle or change the slip ons. Can you shed some light here please?

The zombie baffle makes the most noise but you sacrifice a lot of HP/TQ numbers. We don't have exact numbers on the different Tab baffles but you'd be better off running their 2.5" or 1.75" louvered core baffles. We would need all the specs on your 128 to let you know what we would suggest. We do have exact numbers of Khrome Werks and S&S Performance mufflers in combination with the Fullsac on lot's of 128 combinations. My 128 s&s build with the tab zombie baffles made 150 hp an 150 trq. I have the 2.5 baffle. Im wonder of i should change it or leave it alone.

@@Cwra1smith With the HP/TQ numbers we make on most of our 128's we require thicker cylinder walls than the HD 131 kit provides. The Harley-Davidson 131 kit is good but its not designed too make more power than it comes packaged with.

I am currently having the 128 Harley Stage Kit done to my 2017 SGS. Having higher dyno numbers using other vendor products aren't that important; extended service plan warranty meant more but after the warranty is done, hope to start playing around and using other vendor parts. All depends on how much my luxury spending account budget is.
