Great video Thankyou team. I sort of did what you did but I put in a base made like a flag poles base. I augered a 12inch wide by 4ft. deep hole then weled a base from channel iron with 2 upright channels with 2 holes in each. With a large bolt in the top hole the metal mast pivots then a bolt in the lower hole holds it snug. I now have a proper flag pole in my yard. I used 3/4inch metal pipe for the ring to stop the wires flapping around. I like the fact that it is a family event. That's how my kids were raised, paper snow flakes and odd christmas ball mobiles all over the house. Cheap and easy and the childeren help make christmas. God bless.

I liked the video but the music is really annoying, especially to someone not watching. Best tree video so far

Best part of this video... including the little one. As a father that doesn't get to see his kid that much, you brought me joy seeing this. Teach them as much as you possibly can. It's the most important thing to this world. Cheers, and Merry Christmas.

I used your design and made a few modifications to it and it turned out great. Made it very sturdy to stand up to blustery winds we get in Kentucky. Even survived the high winds on the night of the tornado outbreak. Fortunately no twisters where I live.

What did you do for mods. I was thinking same thing I’d need to get it to stay put much better. I’m in New England. And weather here. Would knock that thing over almost instantly

If only we had spools like those with multicoloured Christmas lights here in the Balkans. It's impossible to find traditional incandescent mini lights here, even led shaped like traditional. I love the result :)

Love it. Just think the base may need some legs to widen its stance. It’s hella windy in Iowa. We had many days with 50+mph wind, but love love love this idea.

maybe use some sandbags or bags of gravel too,maybe under a tarp as a tree skirt ? would have to stake it down......hmmm.

We have an over 50ft tall tree from them.. We have 3 tie down points w 3/8 inch cable. The cables each are attached to 1 cubic yards of concrete below grade. We install it on dirt. We have over 50 mph winds every Christmas.. The structure does not move at all..

I made this tree this year (nov 19) came out great . I did do one thing different . I could not find 1"rigid conduit at my home chepot so I used 1"black pipe sanded it down and spray painted it .I found that 1" pipe would fit perfectly into a 1 -1/4 " pipe. I bought a 1-1/4 by 12" long pipe nipple. I then used a hole digger to make a roughly 8" wide by 14 "deep hole , flared out bottom of hole and cemented pipe nipple into ground(roughly 2" below grade) .I taped top hole of nipple so no concrete got in and tried to make nipple plumb.When I was done stringing lights just picked up tree slid into hole in spring i will fill in and seed. Thanks for great video Stelios tree looks great

@Patrickschmear17632 жыл бұрын
I would never use MDF outside. It will just start to warp and fall apart once it gets wet. I like the use of the metal poles but would definitely use metal for the top since it will last in the elements of outdoors.
@BrentKleinheksel Жыл бұрын
@@Patrickschmear1763 I used a 12" abrasive wheel by dewalt, got it for 7 bucks at lowes. Holes drill super easy and a smaller top looks better. I mounted an 18" star to the top with led tape lights.

How well did the umbrella stand hold up? Did you have to use any tension cables to hold up the 20ft section?
@Santamonicadrainco2 жыл бұрын
It actually held up really well, but we put a lot of weight on the stand. No tension cables for this one. The following year we made a larger tree on a hillside and did use tension cables.
@judefernando112 жыл бұрын
@@Santamonicadrainco thanks for the info! Yeah i was hoping to not use any tension cables if I didn't need to. I am also doing it differently where instead of having that circular pvc base I am hoping to use stakes to ground it directly. Fingers crossed.
