@SlowestRS4 жыл бұрын
Oem headgasket didnt have an issue. The issue was the put the incorrect headgasket on. There was a recall to get them all swapped, some people ended up having head/headgasket issues after because of improper install from ford techs. My full build has the oem gasket, but I installed it correctly to spec and to how it should be done on every build. Overall, there isn’t a problem with oem headgasket, the issue is the incorrect gasket and improper installation from ford techs.

@@SlowestRS i did. If you plan on doing that I have a few tips for you the videos dont show. Its actually hard as fuck if your car has any more than 10k miles on it or has driven winters/outside a lot. The halfshafts dont just "pop" out. And be prepared for a hell of a fight on the tie rod ends and suspension bits. The new beefy half shafts also DO NOT come with bearings. So you have to cut off the old boots, pull the bearing off the old ones, and press them on the new ones. Then getting the damn things to lock back into the trans is a nightmare as the asshats over at mountune didnt make them exactly the same size, so the C clip doesnt want to go into the trans unless you file it down a bit. Should have bought an st short block, doubt the rs one will last long on that power. Plus omg thats alot on boltons. Wonder how long that plastic intake manifold will last at over 30psi
@SlowestRS5 жыл бұрын
tomjw7 2.3L is just fine with open deck design. Better than the 2.0L at track because of its cooling features. Now if I did 600whp and above the 2.0L would have been better because of its closed deck. In this case 2.0L is irrelevant. Also the intake manifold has been through many tests where it has not failed and the mid 30s psi. Not worried about it. I put lots of thought and research. This is what I came up and out with, so far at 5,000miles road trip, 2track days and over 60pulls at 35psi, no issues.

Slowest_RS THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REPLYING and inviting me to contact you on Instagram! Personally, I do not use any of the social media platforms. Yes I’m that kinda guy. No TV. No social media. So I just dumped $6k in my RS, going full stage 2... cobb v3 accessport, cobb air intake, cobb fmic, cobb rear motor mount, ets turboback exhaust (catted), cobb short throw shift kit, turbosmart valve, and I think that’s it. I have a local guy who’s a Cobb certified tuner who also has a dyno in his shop. After all the upgrades I’m getting 302whp on 91 octane. He also gave me a tune for 93 octane. My goal is to get as much power out of this platform with only using pump gas, preferably 91. Am I maxed out or do you have any recommendations to get more HP out of this thing? Again, I appreciate any advice and sir I literally am in constant anticipation of your next upload!

Pleasevisit Pullervilledotcom thanks! I appreciate the feedback. if you want the car to really wake up, id say go water, and methanol Injection.
