i copied your first bike build and it’s been good but now i’m looking for an upgrade, so this video came at a perfect time 👌🏼

tru dat friend, I only build mid-drive bikes single to three-speed 52v-1500watt. True, powerful fun that lasts a while!

fell off my ebike for the 1st time due to the peddle assist and a stick/bad brake lever that did not stop the motor as I braked. So just be careful especially if the motor is over 1000w i just fell on my knee but I had hit the brake as I was peddling thinking I would stop but the bike lunged forward. It makes me wonder if peddle assist is all its made to be or if it should be removed. Its dangerous is what it is. With higher wattage bikes. I got a 1500w motor with a 52v battery, but I replaced my brake levers so it should be ok. That little button inside of the levers can bind up and stick from what I just experienced. No good.

Don't know where you got the 1500 w bafang kit but I can only find 1000 w where did you get it?
@GoldGuyRides2 жыл бұрын
I got it on eBay. I don't think you can get them anymore though because they are technically to powerful to be legal.
@codydavidson83152 жыл бұрын
@@GoldGuyRides I think I'm going to go with the hub driving build an all-wheel-drive bike to 500 w hubs at 48 v and I have 5 batteries that are 60 v and 12 amp hours I was going to put what do you think of this setup, I think you should build an all-wheel drive Bike😎
@ferguson8143 Жыл бұрын
The 1000 watt mid drive motor with the 52v battery will peak the motor at 1500 watts but if you have it with the 42v battery you will not be able to get the 1500 peak watts

Little brother, if you will allow me; I'd like to let you know the reason they provide latex safety gloves. You may be a Neurosurgeon and still want to build your own bike. I believe this represents great customer service. Customers may live where no such gloves exist.

Wow I didn’t know the motor hung so low. Hopefully you don’t smash it off some rocks with a couple inches of ground clearance. Turned awesome awesome though! Never seen a kit put on a full suspension.
@alexkleine97374 ай бұрын
Not designed for full suspension bikes. Its designed for the motor to ride even with BB because downtube is assumed to be angled off the BB not come straight out 4 inches before angling up.

9:53 Why you never cut red/black @ the same time. The controller has a big capacitor that he just discharged into God knows what circuit. Probably has short protection but thats not always the case.

Hi , what place did you buy this motor and battery from ? Thanks.
@Finnegan66743 жыл бұрын
You can get a half twist throttle made for the right side for about $20 or less. I would do it since to me the throttle belongs on the right side like a motorcycle. You can do that later if it drives you as crazy as I think it will. My only question is with the battery box where you mounted it will you still have the rear suspension? It looks like there will not be enough room for movement now. I do love this build, great job!!

does you battery box prevent the rear suspension from actuating? With it filling the space between the seat post tube and the neck it essentially braces the two not allowing the rear forks to move as designed eliminating the suspension travel??? Other than that this bike looks like its going to rip up whatever trail you put it on, will be heaps of fun I'm sure. Cheers
@Louis-lu5wh3 жыл бұрын
His suspension doesn’t move in a way which is impeded by the battery

You could have put motor where the bottle mount is. It looks like will fit perfectly in the centre. The suspension shouldn't hit.

It didn't fit there, I tried. That was actually my original plan but the frame down tube interfered with the motor.

Cool build, but designing it with the throttle on the wrong side is something only the chinese would do.
@slavojalois16393 жыл бұрын
It's on the left side to make gear changing easier, it's hard to change gears and hold the throttle at the same time. You can also get a gear sensor to help save the drivetrain or you can flick the brake lever as you change gears to cut power momentarily if you don't have the GS.

Have a Bafang as your pedal assist only, and have a 8000W rear hub motor as your main motor with full throttle. You will need a second battery to run the hub motor and a controller. Get a ASI BAC4000, which is a 400 amps controller from Accelerated Systems. But then if you do this, you will need a much more solid frame. This bike you have won't resist the torque of the hub motor and will come apart. Also, this bike is too light, you would hit a speed bump and it will have you flying.
@bigd3266 Жыл бұрын
Bafang don't make a 1500w
