How to Build A Bedroom Closet

Looks great, only suggestion would be to add blocking if you already knew where rods/shelf hangers were gonna go.

Thank you for an amazing video! I’m a 62 year old woman who does all her own diy. Getting ready to build a pop out closet for a friend. How many 2x3s did you use? A supply list would be helpful. Doesn’t have to be a full one (nails, screws, etc.), but at least the size/amount of lumber, size of sheet rock (btw, was this 5/8 or 1/2?), etc. Thanks for your incredible videos!!!

Great work. It looks really good. One thing I don't get is why you wouldn't put a horizontal stud where you were going to hang your closet bar instead of using a drywall anchor since you studded out the closet yourself. Thanks for the video.

Questions: Before you put up the rod, would it have been possible to add a 2x4 so that you could have nailed the rod into it? If the anwer is no, would you elaborate on the answer or suggest another way to make that rod hold more than 79 pounds?

Why not include a stud to mount the hanger bar. Did a attic joist and lost that just happened to be in the right right location to attach the framing or did you select the size of the closet based upon where you found them

Where we are located, for a closet to officially be classified as a closet, the inside dimensions need to at least be 2ft deep and 4ft wide. So that’s the dimensions I used.
