Hi Rizwan Thank you for the comments. Unfortunately I do not have them anymore, only what on the video here. I didn't put specific measurements on the drawing although it was fo scale. Also I made a few changes once I was building it. Best thing to do is look at what items you will want to put in eg BBQ tray and build to that spec. I used one which was 67x40cm but left a gap of 69cm to fit it in. Hope that helps Thanks

awesome stuff...I hope you don't mind that I'm going to shamelessly copy you this summer- will send you the pics of the process/finished thing. quick questions- what concrete did you use ?...everyone on youtube uses QuickCrete 5000 but can't get that in the UK and im assuming you are UK based? also what is Vermiculite concrete? do you buy that as a separate product or jus mix Vermiculite into your concrete mix? very grateful for any advice. thanks

Thanks for the great comments. Feel free to copy it, the only change I would do is use two clay pots instead of the round brick work as this will give more heat and possible use slightly smaller pots. I mixed the concrete from scratch used 3 parts gravel 10mm 3 building sand (smooth) 1 cement Cementone for colour Vermiculite concrete 1 cement 1 sand 4 vermiculite Look forward to seeing the pics Give me a shout if you need anything Good luck

12days over 4weeks, but I think an experienced bricky would take max 3 days for the brick work, plus the worktop and woodwork

Absolutely brilliant but I have to ask one question Wouldn’t you have had it done quicker by hiring 10 polish guys for a day ? Ok sure it wouldn’t have looked as good and may be a bit unstable and the garden would be full of beer cans but you would have given joy to 10 people by giving them work. Maybe next time you can consider it

Great job! what did yo use for the inside of the tandoor? Is there a name for the pot or what was it made of? Thanks

It was a large terracotta pot from B&Q top diameter was 50cm. I then cut the base. If I was to build it again I would use two of these pots, on inverted instead of bricks for the bottom. They cost around £34 each

Asif, loving the tandor. I see you said the pot was from b and q. What diameter one was it? Did you put fire bricks in the bottom or just vermiculite and refractory cement? Are the ashes cleared via the hole at the bottom? Have you made any naan bread in there yet. Would love to see the results. Fantastic job o. The brickwork.

Thanks for the great comments Rob. Diameter was 50cm for the pot (top) the tandoor opening is 14inches I used normal bricks at the bottom but then insulated the external with vermiculite concrete. The only thing I have not tried is naan bread but is something I will be doing soon.... as I need to make the naan pillow to stick it in the tandoor. Ashes are cleared from the bottom, literally takes minutes to clean. You can check the results of some of the food in my other videos
