@@union310 thanks once again, yes we've had some amazing times using this, but building it with kids helping was the biggest satisfaction. Plus it's so much easier to maintain than a normal bbq as very little washing and storage required.

Nice construction, I think if you go up few more layers woth chimney chamber it would not blow that much smoke from the main chamber. The higher it is the better its working.

Hi I've just used normal concrete and brick, they don't crack straight away Will take years of use. Its similar to the old chimney fires, they used normal bricks and lasted years

Hi Rizwan Thank you for the comments. Unfortunately I do not have them anymore, only what on the video here. I didn't put specific measurements on the drawing although it was fo scale. Also I made a few changes once I was building it. Best thing to do is look at what items you will want to put in eg BBQ tray and build to that spec. I used one which was 67x40cm but left a gap of 69cm to fit it in. Hope that helps Thanks

Hi The pizza oven portion is the bbq with the doors. I use a pizza stone on the grill. I have cooked pizza but didn't put enough coals in so took longer to cook. I will be trying this year with a wood fire as this should generate more heat.

It's was a large pot from B&Q don't remember size but base of tandoor was 50cm You are better off using a slightly smaller one around 40cm as it'll heat up better and retain the heat.

Ramadan Mubarak. The plans are on the video. I used brick numbers as dimensions as I was building back into an existing area. The bbq grill was around 67cm so I built it around that. Hope that helps

Jazakallah for the comments. Its very easy to clean especially the tandoor and there's only the grill to clean on the bbq. I would make the tandoor slightly smaller or shorter in height as it take longer to heat up

Wsalam.. I drew the plans to scale using brick dimensions. Use the tandoor measurements and the BBQ tray to set the whole scale. Made a couple of adjustments when I was building it. Hope that helps

I've not had any cracks and I've just used normal building sand and cement for the brick work. I think over years it'll probably crack but you can always repoint it. They used to build old fire places with same cement and that lasted years so I wouldn't worry about a BBQ that's used only a few times in a year

Couple of things bro. 1) over the small opening at the bottom of tandoori and the storage door, what did you use as lintels? 2) for the chimney did you use something to help stagger it to get the pyramid shape? Much appreciated and it looks great mashaAllah. Well done!

1. Bottom hole for the tandoor I used a small galvanised plate o pickup up from local DIY. The storage lintel was a piece of slate which was cut with a grinder. 2. To stagger the chimney I used concrete lintels and slate pieces to place the bricks. Hope that helps

Thanks for the great comments. Feel free to copy it, the only change I would do is use two clay pots instead of the round brick work as this will give more heat and possible use slightly smaller pots. I mixed the concrete from scratch used 3 parts gravel 10mm 3 building sand (smooth) 1 cement Cementone for colour Vermiculite concrete 1 cement 1 sand 4 vermiculite Look forward to seeing the pics Give me a shout if you need anything Good luck

12days over 4weeks, but I think an experienced bricky would take max 3 days for the brick work, plus the worktop and woodwork

Absolutely brilliant but I have to ask one question Wouldn’t you have had it done quicker by hiring 10 polish guys for a day ? Ok sure it wouldn’t have looked as good and may be a bit unstable and the garden would be full of beer cans but you would have given joy to 10 people by giving them work. Maybe next time you can consider it

It was a large terracotta pot from B&Q top diameter was 50cm. I then cut the base. If I was to build it again I would use two of these pots, on inverted instead of bricks for the bottom. They cost around £34 each

Thanks for the great comments Rob. Diameter was 50cm for the pot (top) the tandoor opening is 14inches I used normal bricks at the bottom but then insulated the external with vermiculite concrete. The only thing I have not tried is naan bread but is something I will be doing soon.... as I need to make the naan pillow to stick it in the tandoor. Ashes are cleared from the bottom, literally takes minutes to clean. You can check the results of some of the food in my other videos
