You should have used electronic throttle body that way transmission works normal and you don’t worry about idle. TPS should work as long as you wire it properly. GE and GTE TPS are different but if you wire it yourself you Cain wire it properly and it’ll work.

What is the serial for the ECU you used!!! did you have to mess with immobilizer nonsense with a programmed key and what not? Been searching for this answer for some time now!!

No I specifically bought this ecu because it's a non immobilizer unit.

And your not tricking the ECU connecting both signals to one throttle position sensor, every time you start the car it’ll do a self test and if it reads both TPS signals same value, it’ll think there is a problem and it will go into limp, safe mode. You can get away with not using many VSV but if you don’t use electronic throttle body it will go into safe mode. Safe mode won’t allow you to shift properly and In some cases it won’t advance timing.

I appreciate the heads up. I know a guy who is running the throttle pedal and tps signals wired together and he hasn't reported an issue . If it is infact an issue, I'll just have to get a pedal. Not worried about the shifting because I am going full manual control. Idle control is an area will pursue but for now left it out. If the stock ecu gives me to much trouble I'll just get an emu black. For simplicity.

@@timelesssteelgarage you won’t have any problems but the tranny not shifting properly. If you are manually shifting the trans then don’t worry about it. There is no electric pedal. Both sensors are on the throttle body. I highly suggest you go with electronic throttle. It’s not hard to wire it and motor is going to run a lot better. I’m giving you this advice because you are using stock ecu and stock throttle body and auto trans. And make sure you are using the right mass air flow. Connectors are the same but the wiring changes on some sensors, just like TPS.
