Your cabinets are nice. I made my parts cabinet out of solid pine. Jointed and edge glued, used dove tails for the carcass. I used a small amount of glue only to secure it together, no screws.

Thank you so much for this video. I need to make a storage cabinet for craft cases and although the measurements are not the same this tutorial is a huge help! I don't feel so overwhelmed about it now.

Nice work! Question: Why use nailers instead of a french cleat system? Not just on this cabinet, but all of them?
@HomeImprovementWoodworking3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! While a French cleat is a neat idea, in practice, I find it adds more work for the installation process. With nailers, I just hold the cabinet in place and drive in the screw. That's my preference. Scott

Might be a bit too fancy for my shop but some great tips. BTW, those "too short" nailers would never show.

Hello from New Brunswick. I was wondering what you think of water based contact cement.
@HomeImprovementWoodworking2 жыл бұрын
I prefer water-based contact cement, but it's not something you can use one every material. This veneer will swell and cause issues with water-based contact cement. I hope that answers your question. Scott

I've got a few. My favourite is the type with 4 carbide blades and a depth gauge. Here's a link amzn.to/3eoSHlA

Oh, that's cool. What's the brand name?

My advice is: if you make the case big enough for additional boxes in the future... buy the boxes now as they may be "new and improved" and no longer fit your case in the future. 💖🌞🌵😷

Why did you leave the lids on? It adds three steps to retrieve a part (2 catches and a lid) and another 3 to put the tray away. Six movements extra. They also take height. And they serve no purpose. Would you have a drawer with a lid?
@HomeImprovementWoodworking11 ай бұрын
The kids are important. They no only make the cases mobile for work outside the workshop, the also prevent spilling. Could you imagine the mess if one of these tipped over? I like the function of the lids. Scott
@Tensquaremetreworkshop11 ай бұрын
@@HomeImprovementWoodworking If you are going to leave the lids on, you do not need to store them horizontally. Stored vertically takes less space and you do not need the supports.

at approximately 10:30 in the video you use a miniature plane, but I don't see any link to it in your store or in the video. Do you have a source for that?

I dont like the ad lady that pops up and asks me to subscribe, nor the rushing through the video process with the background music. This channel provides asmr feels for me yo, I'd like for it to stay that way. Long, boring, but educational process like Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec.
