How to Build: A Civic EM1 Weekend Warrior

I've said this before and ill say it again 1999-2000 Honda Civic EM1's with all matching vins are a hot commodity now days. Especially finding one in mint condition, that hasn't been unmolested or tampered with. Randy took a gamble asking coworker if their husband would sell their black EM1 civic to Randy, 2 years later he got an offer to purchase the car and rest was history.
Tag along on this feature I recently did with Randy and super clean civic. There isn't any meet, event or show I haven't his car at lol He's a pretty chill guy and has a dope back story of himself and "being bit by the Bug" (as we Honda guys call it) His car like most Civic EM1's was built with all the right parts and done subtle enough you'd think its stock before looking under the hood.

Excellent interview Enrique 🤜🏽 I love the TE’s too, The Hyperblue and Hypergreen are my favorites. But living in the Midwest highways or streets the pot holes we eat those wheels alive. After all they are light weight with whole premise of track racing to reduce weight. But of I had $4k to burn I’d buy them. Oh well😩. Your interviewing is on point because all the intelligent car guys questions. You know how to always ask the history of the chassis and you make the guest relax🫡.

Yeah i feel you on spending that much money on a set a wheels that a pothole can ruin instantly lol yeah i try to make it easy for the person im interviewing to feel relaxed and im asking the normal questions anyone else would ask and give the viewers a video to watch if they were the ones talking to the owners

Hey Enrique, I am restoring my EM1 with the stock body kit, spoiler, OEM fog lights and with stock OEM rims and full original paint color starlight pearl. The engine will have a few mods, AEM V2 Cold Air Intake, Yonaka 4 in 1 Header and Yonaka Full CatBack exhaust. Which tire size do you recommend other than factory tires. I do have a full camber kit, and Eibach Coilovers.

For now I am using the stock rims. 15X6. Which size do you recommend the 15" or 16" X8 +35 offset rims? Which size is the best when driving around town?

@JohnPaulCamposHohnerAnacleto you could run a 205/50 on 16s or 195/50 on 15s I’m not a professional but a suggestion. I’d definitely check the forums online and see what people recommend
