I just found this channel, so here's my 2 cents. About 10 years ago, I bought a 1999 Honda Accord. F series 2.3L, 5-speed. Had 236K miles on it when I bought it. It needed NOTHING but fuel for years. It was wrecked with me in it by a guy from out of town who didn't understand how stop signs work. When it was murdered, it had over 750K miles on it. I LOVED that car.

I have a 2002 EP3 right now. only mods are intake & HKS exhaust, everything else is stock. Drives abt 100 miles a day through the city & suburbs as a delivery car for hours at a time. K20A3 + Short gearing (+sound system) makes it never boring to drive and is the reason I can work for fun, not many people can do that unfortunately. oh and it has 300,000mi., runs perfectly apart from wear on internal parts. Would recommend as a daily for sure, enough space inside for a decent amount of stuff too.

No internal engine mods just easy bolt ons and handling mods like good tires, wheels, and suspension. makes me feel good about buying a super clean 140k miles, spotless interior, 99 sedan LX. Got it for 2k from my friend and he had legit 300+ messages on marketplace. 100+ of which were in the last 2 hours when I bought it from him.. However it did need new cv axles, ac belt, I had to run speaker wire to all 4 speakers due to a short and now I have to replace some control arms.. Still worth it though and its super clean. Im planning on swapping to a K engine because its slow. I also tinted every last window and threw some koning wheels on them.

I've owned multiple EK's and currently own two DC5's. People who say the EP3/DC5 suspension is worse than the double wishbone are wrong. The EP3/DC5 required more work to adjust the suspension to counteract bump steer when you lower the suspension. You can't slap some suspension on a EP3/DC5 without dialing it in unlike a EG/EK/EF. The EP3R/DC5R on release were faster around the track than any DC2/EK9.

Had one recently at 22 years old fully built k swap 6 speed With hybrid racing short shifter 5lug conversion and original blue oem si color with a backyard style front bumper already came with tru hart coils too and at the time I got it for dirt cheap only 5k no more the motor was also freshly painted and powdered coated this super clean neon color and it had a tuned up kpro ecu already installed right before I told dude I was gonna buy it long story short I got it drove it home for about an hour and was ripping like 300 hp it was funnn af all it needed was a good turbo it was ready for it trust me but sadly I had other cars I was working on at the time this was in 2023! And I bought it off markeplace💀 and I just had it sitting for a couple months storing up basically I made the ultimate choice to sell it sadly again cuase I honestly should’ve kept it but like I said I was just letting it sit for a whileeeee cuase I basically moved states and I had so many other cars I needed to work on and invest on that I just eneded up really needing to selling something out of the inventory and that just happened to be it but I do wish I initially would fixed up that car gave a new sparkle paint paint job and some good expensive wheels it would’ve been a killer Si man for sure a show car cuase the engine bay was presttine and the car had not rust at all for a car that was in a state where it rained and snowed it was well kept and well I’m honestly really glad that’s the person who bought it not to long ago is enjoying that car I know for sure cause that car deserves it mane it was clean and I just know for sure the new owners are going to take care of it and give it the love and attention that beast deserves, the Honda civic si em1 is a staple in the Honda game fr

A dying breed is a EF sedan. I hardly EVER see them anymore, aside from the one I own. They are so overshadowed by the CRX and hatchbacks. It's sad that sedans never get love.

The reason is probably that sedans were never bought as enthusiast cars like the CRX, the coupe and to some degree the hatchback. The Civic sedan was and still is only being bought new by people who just want a commuter car that's economical, reliable and safe to drive. For that reason the owners mostly didn't take as good care of them, so many of them aren't around anymore.

honestly don't shop for 90's civics anymore. it's such a waste of time with the amount of junk out there. and if you buy something nice, chances are someone is going to mess with it (theft) at some point of ownership. i just feel like it's not much car for the money. i think there was a golden era for buying these cars and the time has passed. i feel like shopping for a sorted 8th gen is a much more productive endeavor. i've seen clean supercharged ones for 10-12k and I feel like that's an awesome value compared to some of these 90's civics.
