While most people see a curved wall, I see a work of art. I started out as a Carpenter-Joiner, and did a lot of roughing, and finishing work, making windows etc. I never done Shuttering Joinery, or Formwork which probably its new name. It was messy and you stunk. they used fish oil as a release agent -back in the day.. We done everything manually, there were no electric saws. We had a Hilti drill and that was it. Technology has changed everything! But you guys are on THE ball. Am thinking you are from NY? You have a strong New York accent. Anyway its a pleasure to see how this technical and artistic masterpiece comes together. Its an excellent team you guys got and WE learn a lot about formwork!

Hey Man how's it going? Update on my wall. This wall looks like my wall but I made mine with 8" cinder block with 12x12 columns every 25' apart with tops and LV lights with a dimmer. 100x100x100 all around my perimeter. Next couple of weeks will be stucco week. It's coming out alright. Thank you for inspiring me with your videos and your work ethic. Man I just happened onto this you do fantastic work I’m a custom home builder for 50 years and have done raids walls and walls as high as 24 ft tall. Mine have all been been snap ties and 3/4 Plywoid . I still think 2 ply’s of 3/4 plywood 16 inches wide leaped would be stronger and faster than the cuts and bending the 2x12 .
@AllAccessConstruction Жыл бұрын
I appreciate your kind words. 👌This was our first time doing a curve wall to this degree. We always have a post-meeting after jobs. So we have a few tricks up our sleeve if we get another one.
@richardthomas1566 Жыл бұрын
@@AllAccessConstruction the kerf works but the knots and board density is not consistent and you only end up with with the strength of the lumber you have left after the curf saw cut . I’ll bet 1 x 12 s would bend for most large radius I know 3 lawyers of 3/8 s works for tight radius with snap ties and clips .

My question is,HOW,are the vertical posts attached to the footer so that you don't have blowout when the concrete is poured into the form? Thanks
