I've made a couple of similar items out of 15mm copper pipe, and they're great for outdoor use. The only problem with copper is that it bends easily, and can buckle if too much weight is placed on whatever you've made. To aid the rigidity of the copper, I fitted some doweling rod inside the lengths, and now it never bends.

That is cool 👍

Very cool idea, some darker wood would really make the copper stand out as a highlight.

Could you please tell me what glue you are using and is it a good permanent one, I’ve recently started making things from copper pipe and I’ve used sticks like sh-t by evo stick but there is still some movement even after 24 hours. Is the glue you are using a multi purpose glue for different materials thanks

We used Mitre Fast for a instant fix instead of soldering and it's still going strong 💪

@@SilverlineToolsTV Thanks for answering so quickly 👍Ps I’ve just read the reviews and they all say good things about it , Ive just last week had a new kitchen fitted by 2 great joiners and they used miter glue on the cornices on the tops of the cupboards , they both said you have to be careful with it as one of them stuck their fingers together, I didn’t realise it was a multi purpose glue , I’ve tried evo stick , sticks like sh?t and I could still move the copper fittings the day after so it’s not as good as what it says it does , I’m a retired plumber in the uk , I’ve made 4 iPad stands For my grand children , I also made a pipe mug tree and kitchen Roll holder and I soldered them which is time consuming and messy as you know, there is a craft shop in the village where I live which sells things from numerous crafters, I have shown the owner what I’ve made ( she teaches the art of making Dorset Buttons) she asked me if I would sell things in her shop , so I want to make sure the items I make don’t fall apart, I really enjoyed your video . One last thing if you don’t mind could you recommend a good lacquer I could spray the copper with to keep it shiny thanks again really appreciate your help 👍

WOW! you sound busy! If you give the side table a go let us know, we'd love to know how you get on. For the shine we just used Autosol Metal Polish and a rag. Does dull after a while, but a quick buff and you've got a mirror finish again.
